the best soba i’ve had in Tokyo !!
View on GoogleSmall, decent soba place, café-like atmosphere within. Ordered tempura soba, the tempura was excellent, the soba better than average. Very friendly owner/service. Oomori (a larger portion of noodles) was not much bigger than the normal portion.
View on GoogleI always visit here when I crave for soba and I even brought my parents when they were visiting. It’s always very good and I think it’s a good value considering the price. Plus the staff is very nice and always helpful.
View on GoogleFinally made my first visit to a place that has been in 三軒茶屋 for ages and had always caught my interest. An acquaintance had told me, “It’s simple, but really good,” and this bowl met those expectations exactly. For lunch, I had the warm soba and tendon set. The first surprise was the soba broth. Slightly strong with a crisp finish, very much the kind I personally like. It balanced nicely with the soba, and before I knew it, I had drunk every last drop. The tendon was reliably good, needing no explanation. The light frying, the coating of sauce—everything was just right, with a level of satisfaction you wouldn’t expect from a set meal. It isn’t flashy, but that makes it easy to understand why it has been loved for so long. It seems likely to become a place that naturally comes to mind when I wonder, “Where should I eat today…” I found a place I can turn to when I’m stuck. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleFor a night when you want to have a drink at a soba shop and play the part of a stylish woman🍶🌙 『蕎麦×美酒たけや 三軒茶屋』 📍東京都世田谷区太子堂 4丁目26-7 “Without sobamae, there is no soba shop” These are words once left by 池波正太郎, one of postwar Japan’s leading writers of period and historical novels✍️ Have a little drink at a soba shop, then finish with soba🥢 For anyone who occasionally wants to enjoy that grown-up way of drinking, 「たけや」 in 三軒茶屋 is especially well suited🍶 “Sobamae,” a stylish way for adults to enjoy drinking that dates back to the Edo period The menu that offers this pleasure is 【蕎麦屋呑みセット】 by たけや🍶 ~蕎麦屋呑みセット~ ・Available on weekday evenings ・1 alcoholic drink of your choice ・3 sobamae items (drinking snacks) ・Soba to finish (kake or seiro) ¥2,200 As its name suggests, 「たけや」 takes pride in its soba and drinks🍶 So naturally, the drinks lineup is extensive🍶 For that day’s sobamae, I chose “大七 純米生もと” on the owner’s recommendation🌙 A lovely sake that pairs well with Japanese food🍶 Its rich body, umami, and acidity blend completely, with a truly wonderful clean finish👏 I think even people who aren’t fond of sake might find it approachable🍶 The 3 sobamae items (drinking snacks) were, ①筑前煮 ②おからコロッケ ③だしまき玉子/秋さばのみぞれ煮/さつまいもレモン煮 Each snack let me savor the deliciousness the owner had carefully created🥺 The crisp yet moist texture of the おからコロッケ was the winner in particular🏆 I chose seiro for the soba to finish, and was first surprised by how strikingly white the noodles looked😳 Apparently, 「たけや」 makes its soba from whole buckwheat grown in Hokkaido, carefully removing the thin inner skin and grinding mainly the endosperm. The owner’s dedication and this extra step brought us white soba whose delicious flavor we could enjoy🥢 The finishing soba paired smooth-sliding noodles with an elegant, dashi-rich dipping sauce👏 The bliss of taking a hearty slurp made me put down my chopsticks and let out a deep sigh without thinking.. It was delicious. The thick sobayu had a refined flavor🥺 I indulged by drinking it straight, down to the last drop🫣 A night of sobamae wrapped in the satisfaction of fully enjoying delicious soba🌙 「たけや」 is a place I’d love you to choose for a quick drink after work or an everyday evening out🍶 Hoping that the wonderfully stylish culture of sobamae continues to take deep root in the Reiwa era🙏 Thinking ahead to December, when tipsy evenings overlap again and again with cries of “Cheers”🍶 Thank you for the meal😋
