A 1-minute walk from the south exit of Jiyugaoka Station, the Italian restaurant “SHUTTERS(シャッターズ)自由が丘” is a dining restaurant with an open terrace, recognizable by its terrace seating on a stylish street. Our enduring signature dishes are the ultimate “spare ribs,” astonishingly tender and falling off the bone, and exquisite “apple pie à la mode,” featuring warm, freshly baked pie topped with cold ice cream. The spare ribs are prepared using our unique cooking method, delivering a one-of-a-kind flavor loved by everyone from children to older guests. Our apple pie, made with 100% domestically grown apples, also appeals to many visitors to Jiyugaoka as a café-time treat or an after-meal dessert…

Fantastic ribs and a decent take on apple pie. The sauces for the ribs are all pretty good, and the side items are delicious. The vibe is good and it’s always busy. The staff is great and very accommodating. The price is a little high, but worth the experience.

April Saturday night, sitting outside. The experience was fantastic, very comfy, every dish is delicious. We had pork ribs, carbonara pasta, garlic butter corn, onion soup, all of them were very delicious. The service was also good. Quite happy that we chose here.

Shutters is one of my favorites. The ribs are awesome. You can mix and match the flavors. I think they have a very good deal for lunch

I went there for a special dinner with my fiancé and it was great. We had salad, spare ribs, garlic bread, pasta and the apple pie. Everything was delicious and the service was good. With drinks (and sharing the salad and dessert) the bill was 14,000 yen. It's a bit pricey but great for special occasions or when you want to splurge a little bit. Please note that the pasta size is small because it's meant to be enjoyed as one of several courses, not as a main. Because of this, Shutters isn't a good choice for a cheap, quick meal.

Overpriced, skimpy, flavourless. It looked like they steamed the ribs that came out flaccid and colourless with a stingy af covering of sauce to get some pretense of flavour. I do not understand how in a city with so many good places closing down restaurants like this remain popular to the point there is a now a chain of them. The apple pie, which is supposedly the star here is instagrammable and kind of sort of the saving grace. Smothered in whatever sauce you choose along with a decent serve of some average ice-cream you kind of want to believe that the one or two pieces of apple hiding in the butter free puff pastry might hold some excitement for thus far disappointed tastebuds. This won't change. Service
