Showa Women's University Koyo Museum A museum with a calm atmosphere that carefully preserves and displays materials of high academic value. As a university-affiliated museum, its exhibition layout firmly reflects an educational and research perspective. The exhibits are clearly organized, and I could sense efforts to make them easy for general visitors to understand while still being specialized. The explanatory panels are concise and accurate, letting you naturally learn the background and significance of the materials. The interior is quiet and clean, providing an environment where you can leisurely enjoy the exhibits. The exhibition space is compact yet has no wasted space, and I was impressed that you can focus on your visit. It's a museum with the reliability and composure unique to an academic institution, and I felt it's a suitable facility for those who want to deepen their understanding of culture and history. It's a museum you can visit with peace of mind as a place to satisfy your intellectual curiosity.

Admission seems to be basically free, but if you're visiting from outside the university, you need to sign in at the security office at the main gate and get a visitor pass. If you follow the flow of students from Sangenjaya Station, you'll end up at the west gate, so you may need to watch out for that. Being able to just drop in and visit on the day felt very visitor-friendly.

If you follow Google Maps, you'll arrive at the west gate, but you need to go through entry procedures at the main gate, so be careful. Since you're entering someone else's school (and a girls' school at that), I guess the hassle can't be helped. It's small-scale, the kind of place you finish after one lap around, but I got to see various things for the first time, so I'm satisfied on that front.

This is really confusing, but among the exhibitions listed in the exhibition schedule, the ones marked as hosted by the library are held at the library. They aren't held at the museum, so even during the exhibition period, you can't get into the museum if it's the museum's closing day.

Never thought there'd be such a lovely place on campus.
