Indoor smoking is allowed
View on GoogleWent in after 13:00. A seat at the end of the counter was free, so I sat there. The customer 1 seat away was smoking… bad choice of seat^_^; Since smoking is allowed here, people who dislike tobacco might be better off not going. First ordered gyoza for 500円 and a medium bottle for 650円. The beer was Akaboshi. The small side dish of simmered food was quietly delicious. The gyoza had plenty of garlic and chives, perfect with beer. After eating 3 pieces, I added half-size fried rice for 500円. The colors looked good, giving me a feeling it would be tasty. It was moist, gently savory, and appropriately salted. Although it was half-size fried rice, it had a fair amount of chashu, which was delicious too. It was my kind of fried rice; perhaps I should have had a full portion rather than half. It was delicious, but the smoking policy is a shame. Which group is larger: smokers who leave if smoking is banned, or customers who never return because smoking is allowed? I suspect it's the latter. I'll come back if they make the interior non-smoking lol
View on GoogleI’ve actually been to this place, and it was really good. The stir-fried vegetables had that nostalgic flavor with a touch of MSG, and it really hit the spot. I also tried the liver and chives stir-fry, and I liked that the liver was properly cooked first—it made a difference. Overall, it’s an old-school place with a retro vibe. The crowd can be a bit hit-or-miss, but I’ve gone back several times anyway. It was delicious. The old-fashioned stir-fried vegetables with that chemical-seasoning flavor were fantastic and tasted nostalgic. I also ordered the liver and chives stir-fry, and the liver was thoroughly stir-fried first, which was good too. Overall, it felt like an old-fashioned restaurant.
View on GoogleA true neighborhood Chinese restaurant that has even appeared on BS・TBS's “町中華で飲ろうぜ.” The menu is comforting, with set meals, ramen, and gyoza. The sign outside advertises a lunch special. This time, meat and vegetables for 900円. The vegetables are stir-fried crisp with a lovely texture. The pickled takuan is an indispensable part of the set meal too. The soup is a little strongly flavored, which is nice.
View on GoogleMy previous review disappeared, so I'm posting again. I visited this restaurant, which I've been to several times, for lunch on a weekday. It was a hot day, so instead of noodles I ordered the special stir-fried eggplant and pork with rice, 8:50円. Cheap, very filling, and tasty with its soy-sauce seasoning. Everything here is consistently good, with generous portions—a delicious neighborhood Chinese restaurant. The air conditioning works well even in summer, so you can eat in cool comfort. Visited again. I've been here several times but had never tried the noodles, so I ordered them for the first time. Came for Saturday lunch and the restaurant was quiet. Looking at the menu, I ordered kanton men. It was loaded with ingredients: vegetables such as napa cabbage, bamboo shoots, carrots, bok choy, and wood ear mushrooms, plus pork and shrimp. The thickness was just right, and the soup had a delicious soy-sauce flavor typical of neighborhood Chinese restaurants. A standard, easy-to-enjoy kanton men. The food here is consistently good, so you can confidently order anything.
