The staff was very kind, the atmosphere was tranquil, and it is the perfect spot to get away from the crowd and enjoy some of Japan's history and culture. Photos aren't allowed inside, but the entrance really set the ambiance for my visit.

A refreshing break from the city - about a 10min cycle or 25min walk from bustling Sangenjaya. Once the art studio of Mukai Junkichi, this 2 floor gallery has a great atmosphere. The building is absolutely gorgeous (and thankfully cool in summer) and there are even chairs so you can relax and look out into the garden. Entry is only ¥200 for adults too!
