Decent food

「北京飯店」 sits quietly in a residential neighborhood of Sangenjaya. At first glance, it looks like a familiar neighborhood Chinese restaurant, but the food served there was surprisingly mellow, with refined flavors reminiscent of an authentic Chinese restaurant. For lunch, I had 「小松菜豚肉炒め」. The crisp texture of the komatsuna and the savory pork were brought out beautifully, while the accompanying omelet and mapo tofu made the meal even more satisfying. The mapo tofu was also rounded and mellow, a dish that conveyed the care put into it. The side dish 「ゆでぎょうざ」 is another must. The juicy filling inside the chewy wrappers really let the ingredients shine, to the point that I felt they were delicious enough on their own without any dipping sauce.

A mainland Chinese-style neighborhood Chinese restaurant. A space where time seems to have stopped. You can enjoy various lunch options for under 1,000円. The popular boiled dumplings are substantial and unbeatable as a drinking snack!

Visited for dinner. Besides the main menu, there were plenty of daily specials on the blackboard, and these were especially delicious: 「海鮮春巻き」 「パイペンロー（茹で豚のピリ辛ソース掛け）」. Individual dishes such as stir-fries and sweet-and-sour pork have ordinary portions, but the ingredients are cut into large pieces, making them satisfying and giving them a luxurious feel.
