I saw a video on instagram recently about their vegan curry set so I had to try it. It’s not on the menu so you have to ask for it. Basically you’ll get a plate of their side dishes, a nice scoop of basmati (I think) rice, and a bowl of coconut curry soup with potato chunks. I felt that for the portion size and quality of the food, it was very affordable. I liked the variety of flavors on the plate. The shredded coconut dish was really interesting flavor and texture wise. The dal had a slight kick but overall the spice level was very low. I usually don’t like beets (I think they taste like dirt) but I happily ate everything on my plate including the beet dish. The restaurant is on the 4th floor with no elevator/escalator which is inconvenient.
View on GoogleA must stop for curry lovers! So many amazing flavours on one plate. Beautiful plated and prepared by young inspiring tattooed chefs. After a few minutes of chatting with a couple of the chefs, I could tell they pour their heart and soul into their dishes. As an older chef myself. it’s always heart warming to see the younger generation stepping up to make amazing food. Keep up the great work boys!
View on GoogleWow, delicious. Fresh and tasty. See pictures. Curry and side dishes was excellent. You can taste the specific flavors of each dish. We had the standard milk coconut curry, saba curry and chicken curry. Staff is really friendly. My wife said saba curry was her favorite and the chef was telling her how she can cook it. Definitely recommend this restaurant. It's on the fourth floor.
View on GoogleThis curry is clearly different from the kind I usually had in Japan. The spices are well balanced—never overpowering, yet enough to stimulate the appetite. That fresh, vibrant flavor is not something you come across easily. Trying to save a bit of money by ordering only two types of curry would be a mistake. You really have to try the coconut curry. The plating was beautiful and the food itself was excellent, but one thing I couldn’t quite understand was the price—2,500 yen for three types of curry. When we visited, the restaurant was quite empty, and I suspect the pricing might be the reason. If this set were priced at around 2,000 yen, I would easily give it a perfect score. But everything comes with an opportunity cost, and at 2,500 yen, there are simply too many other options. So while the food is great, I can’t quite rate it as perfect.
View on GoogleDecent Sri Lankan currys. For me, the flavor could have been more complex, but it was good enough. My other critique was that they don't have any vegetarian protein or a true Sri Lankan vegetable curry.
