I had lunch on Saturday at a Japanese restaurant in a residential area of Mishuku. I chose the lowest-priced option, the chicken karaage set meal. It was 1,390円 including tax. You order by smartphone, but afterward a staff member asks, "You can choose a large, medium, or small serving of rice." I wasn't sure how that would affect additional charges, so I chose medium. After about 6 minutes, they served it freshly fried. There were 5 pieces of thigh meat, each too large for a single bite. They came with a smile-shaped lemon wedge, tartar sauce, and raw vegetables. I enjoyed them with a small side dish, pickles, and miso soup. All the dishes were fairly well salted, the sort of seasoning that would go well with alcohol. Looking around, they seemed particular about sake from Tohoku. It's a place where you'd want to gather around the large recessed-floor table (seating 10), drinking and chatting merrily together🍶. There are also 2 tables for 2, so couples could enjoy it too.

The menu is smaller than at chain restaurants, but there are several set meals around 〜¥1500. The tonkatsu apparently undergoes low-temperature cooking before frying, so the coating is crisp and golden brown. I didn't get much delicious fatty flavor from the loin; the tenderloin was better. The minced cutlets had a fluffy, light texture that suited the chicken version very well, but since there are 2 varieties, the pork one could have been a regular "fried hamburger steak" type. The dressing wasn't great, and the salad was better with the sauce. By the way, the sauce is thin, so be careful not to pour too much. Rice and miso soup can each be refilled once for free, but the red miso soup is quite strong, so 1 bowl is enough. The pickles were delicious. Inside, the seating is recessed-floor style, and you take off your shoes. The tables are too close to the neighboring ones, so the counter might be more relaxing. 2023.6. Weekends and holidays. Lunchtime

An izakaya with delicious food. Each dish wasn't too large, which was nice. The sashimi felt fresh. The MIYASAKA sake was quite delicious and worked well with the meal. Inside there are long-table-like tables where you sit as though at a counter. It's not very spacious, and I thought it would be best to visit with 2〜3 people. They also advertised parties, so reserving the whole place might be better for a large group. It's at the very end of Taishido Chuo Shopping Street, so getting there is rather difficult unless you live nearby, but it was a good restaurant.

It goes beyond delicious; my impression is "happiness." The thing that looks like a tamatebako treasure box is the appetizer. You can feel the quality and care, and a staff member named "Yuji-san" chatted with me casually, so I recommend it to anyone wanting to feel happy in their work or everyday moments! Outside shoes aren't allowed, and changing footwear at the entrance also gave it a "Japanese" feel.

When I lived nearby, I often came not just for lunch but for dinner too! As a very picky eater, it's one of the few places I can confidently recommend and say, "Everything you eat here is incredibly delicious!" The owner treated me very well! I'll come for a meal when I'm in Tokyo again next year! Looking forward to it!
