Great showa style place run by a hardworking married couple. Great gyoza, flavourful cha Han and ramen. Simple and delicious. Definitely worth supporting them with a visit if you are in Shimo for lunch.

Big portions, nice staff :) Loved the Cutlet curry. Dined here often back in 2018/19

May 19 Daizawa Chuka Marucho Rebanira set meal My first visit to this long-established neighborhood Chinese restaurant on the edge of Shimokita! I wasn't sure what to order, but went for rebanira after a long time! The fairly large fried liver pieces with a thick coating had a really satisfying meaty texture—fantastic! Even the regular portion has this much rice, so that was satisfying too! Next time I'd like to order noodles as well!!

The gyoza is delicious. The miso ramen doesn't taste as good as it used to. The fried rice had a soggy texture like it came straight out of a rice cooker, which was disappointing. I left some unfinished. Maybe they're in the middle of a generational handover; I hope things improve. The service is average.

Counter seating and 6 tables seating 4 people each. Both the exterior and interior show their age, but they're well cleaned and tidy. The menu is a truly classic neighborhood Chinese restaurant lineup, and the prices are understandable given today's difficult ingredient costs. The ramen suits the internet slang “This is all you need,” yet it has a pronounced vegetable broth flavor reminiscent of mizutaki and other hot pots, making it surprisingly nourishing and flavorful. It was so delicious I kept reaching for my spoon. An elderly couple and their son (perhaps?) run the place. Their service is quiet, but nothing particularly bothersome, and I enjoyed a leisurely meal. Cash payment only.
