it's fine, but it's not ¥300 good. filling is flavourful, but there isn't a lot of it. bun is soft and slightly sweet. expect a line, though it moves quickly. grade B-: serviceable. no need to go out of your way to try this place.

Stopped by on our way to coffee shop nearby. The shop has line even early in the morning. We ordered a lot of steamed buns with different fillings. I like the spicy buta the most. (230 yen). Totally worth the money compared with the size of the bun. Came back home and heat them again in the microwave still also tasted amazing, even the mantou only. Exceptional food from the small shop 🥰

Amazing authentic Taiwanese baos in Setagaya. The price is very reasonable (~200 yen for pork buns) for the size you get. I kinda wish that there was a bit more filling but that's probably the only complaint. The taste of the bun is absolutely amazing. Soft and slightly sweet which goes really well with the pork filling. Out of the pork fillings in this shop, I enjoyed the spicy pork bun the most. Definitely worth queing for.

Stumbled apon this cute shop with locals lining up to get some buns. We got one of each and liked everyone of them! Especially the cheese curry and pizza!

The answer to your questions are: yes it's good, yes it's worth the wait. For less than a conbini, you can get an authentic taiwanese bao. 1 = ¥200; 10 = ¥1,000; 20 = ¥2,000 Tasty, juicy, perfect dough.
