Great straightforward, simple Soba.

Ramen 750円 A strong soy sauce color, more like ramen than I expected, with a nice pork-like aroma too. Is the kaeshi soba broth? It is chuka soba with both a Japanese feel and an animal-based character, definitely tasting like ramen, and perhaps quite strongly salty. (A slightly hard-to-figure-out soup: soba broth with animal fat? Or an animal-based soup with soba kaeshi? Or perhaps a commercial product?) The smooth, firm, somewhat round medium-thin noodles are ramen noodles; these are delicious. The chashu is well seasoned and the meat itself tastes good, while the menma is somehow quite sweet; eating it alternately with the slightly salty soup is rather tasty. Pretty impressive that such an old soba shop still serves proper ramen...

The taste is entirely ordinary. I had the set in the photo. The portion is generous. The interior seems to lack cleanliness… The handwashing equipment is dirty too. Above all, a group of four elderly women already there were chatting away without masks, and the staff did not warn them, and they had removed the acrylic panels to talk… (I ended up telling them off.) They have a coronavirus sticker posted, but their understanding? Awareness is low.

・A neighborhood soba-shop type of place. Long-established. ・There is a box of tissues near the entrance. ・The cold drink is water. ・Entered around 13:30 on a weekday. There were already 2 groups of customers. Wow, hot enough to wake you right up. Even though it is getting cooler, perhaps it is not quite time for soba at this temperature yet? I should have ordered cold soba.

I often order 光月のお得セット, which can only be ordered at the restaurant. For 光月のお得セット with katsudon and mori, you can choose a rice bowl and either soba or udon. They also deliver if you live nearby. If you get the chance, ordering 『冷や麦』 for delivery, a pleasure available only during 🌞summer, gives you a sense of coolness. It is a family-run restaurant.
