Visited around 15:00 on a Saturday in August 2019. There were no other customers inside. The counter and table seating areas were quite spacious. I sat at a table and ordered the daily ramen & half fried rice special for 850円. It arrived after about 10 minutes. The ramen broth had a seafood flavor with a hint of dried small fish, but lacked punch and was a little vague and weak. The flat, curly noodles were limp and soft. The chashu was like boneless ham with a star anise aroma, not the type I like. The half fried rice was exactly half-sized. It was well stir-fried and smelled good. As I chewed, a gentle sweetness gradually emerged from the mild, home-style seasoning. Quite tasty. I'd like to try the other menu items if I get the chance.
View on GoogleUnusually, it was open. There was a sign outside saying bean sprout ramen and tanmen were both 720円. When I went inside, nearly half the place was being used for storage. Someone from the restaurant immediately came over and said they only had bean sprout ramen and tanmen. I figured they must have regular ramen and tried ordering it, but they said they had no roast pork, so again, only bean sprout ramen and tanmen. I asked if the bean sprout ramen was soy sauce flavored, and they said it was soy sauce ramen with bean sprouts in a thickened sauce. I ordered that. The broth was very thin, almost like hot water, so it was hard to detect any stock or even tell what the kaeshi was like, although it did have the color of soy sauce. The noodles were medium-thick with a somewhat high water content, and tasted perfectly fine. The bean sprouts in the thickened sauce were well seasoned, with a little pork in addition to the sprouts, and were reasonably tasty for a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. The flavor of the thickened sauce mingled with the broth, and after adding plenty of pepper, the hot-water-like broth moved just a little closer to being ramen broth.
View on GoogleThe counter and table seating areas are quite spacious considering the width of the storefront. Two of us went in and had ramen and bean sprout ramen. They were soy sauce flavored and delicious. It seems to be run by a husband and wife, but the menu is extensive and reasonably priced. Next time I'd like to try a set meal. It feels clean too. A restaurant I hope keeps going.
View on GoogleThe first generation, a husband and wife, opened the restaurant on this site, and the second generation took over (probably), bringing us to the present, I guess. It's perfectly tasty. The seasoning might be a little strong. People who only ever eat 《ramen》 that's something completely different might give it fewer stars, huh.
View on GoogleA Chinese restaurant where even a woman dining alone can eat with peace of mind. Someone gave it 1 star—I wonder if they have some kind of grudge❗Anyway, with so many ramen shops these days, Chinese restaurants are becoming an endangered species, so I hope they keep going. The prices are low, the food is perfectly tasty, and you can relax here☺
