The udon here is absolutely amazing — perfectly chewy noodles in a rich, flavorful curry that feels like pure comfort. The tempura is just as impressive: light, crispy, and not greasy at all, with each bite offering a satisfying crunch. The side dishes are no afterthought either. The tofu is delicate and silky, the homemade karaage is juicy with a light crispy coating, and the deep-fried octopus is a true standout — tender inside, with a deliciously crispy exterior. Pair it all with an ice-cold Kirin beer, and you’re in heaven. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Japanese comfort food done right!

Udon restaurant in Sangenchaya. This restaurant serves “Musashino-Udon”, Japanese traditional style of udon. It’s curly and has good bite to it. Dipping sauce is soy sauce based and matches with udon and ingredients. There are many kind of tempura, and these are very reasonable. You can also choose the volume of udon, so it must be satisfy you. I don’t know English menu is prepared.

Nice udon place in Sangenjaya. The udon is handmade with a really nice and thick consistency. The place is famous for the tsuke udon style, but during winter they also offer the classic kake udon. The portion are huge, and the L size (500gr) is free.

Still riding my udon craze, I came here for lunch. There was a decent line before opening, but I was happy they put the full menu out front. The udon is irregular, very firm noodles with a pretty strong sweet-savory dipping sauce, so opinions might be split. With sauce this rich, I might prefer green onions over nori and sesame as condiments. That said, the value for money is insane. It's already cheap, and on top of that the free large portion at lunchtime and the great deals on toppings & sets are amazing. Recommended for people with a big appetite.

It's unpretentious and easy to walk into, with a vibe that makes you want to become a regular, and an atmosphere where you can seriously focus on your udon💭 There's counter seating too, so a nice plus is that it's easy to drop in even on your own🥰 This time I had the No. 1 most popular dish, the classic Musashino udon 『Niku Negi Tsukejiru Udon』 Thick noodles typical of Musashino udon, and you can tell how firm they are just by looking! The more you chew, the more the wheat flavor spreads, super filling🌾 The dipping sauce is on the rich side, with the savoriness of pork fully melted into it, and the balance of sweet-savory and depth is perfect💯 The generous green onions give it a clean finish, so it doesn't get too heavy, that's the key💡 Every time you dip the udon, the flavor clings to it, a bowl that keeps your chopsticks moving. Even though it's a hearty dish, it's so well made you can enjoy it right to the last bite✨
