A cozy second floor uma izakaya. Food was easy to order through a webpage and the staff and service were very nice

The interior is lively, with the bustling atmosphere of a casual neighborhood tavern. It's an easy place to choose for a drink after work or a drinking gathering with friends. This time, while drinking draft beer and highballs, we had a horse sashimi platter (for 2～3 people), horse meat carpaccio, and horse meat menchi katsu. The horse sashimi platter lets you compare several cuts, which were fresh and had almost no unpleasant smell. You can enjoy the differences in texture and umami between the cuts. The horse meat carpaccio had a refreshing seasoning and paired well with drinks. The horse meat menchi katsu was crisp outside and juicy inside, with the light umami characteristic of horse meat. On the other hand, I was bothered by the somewhat long wait for the food this time. Also, the portions per dish were generally a little small, so people wanting a substantial meal might find them somewhat unsatisfying. It suits a style of drinking beer or highballs while having light bites, but if you're mainly coming for a meal, I think you'll be more satisfied if you expect to order additional dishes. The staff's service and the atmosphere were good, and I felt it was a place to enjoy horse meat casually. If the serving speed and portions improve, it will become an even more satisfying spot.

Visited 【大衆馬肉酒場 ジョッキー 三軒茶屋店】 for drinks. Just a short walk from 三軒茶屋 Station, it's a casual tavern that's easy to drop into. Its signature dishes use horse meat delivered directly from 熊本, and the appeal is the clear freshness of the horse sashimi, horse meat sushi, and more. The lean meat was light yet full of umami and paired wonderfully with drinks. The prices are relatively reasonable too, and it's nice to be able to order a variety of dishes at good value.  Inside, there are counter seats and tables, with a lively, bustling atmosphere. It suits drinks with friends or a second stop for the evening. There's a wide range of drinks, and it feels convenient for either a quick drink or a longer night out. One of the few places to enjoy horse meat casually, and a spot worth remembering as a drinking option in 三軒茶屋.

Stopped by as our second place on Wednesday. The food was delicious! The prices were reasonable and the food came quickly, so it was quite nice. It was a very rare place where smoking is allowed. A good place that made me want to drop in again when I'm in 三軒茶屋

I had horse sashimi, meat sushi, menchi, boiled dumplings, and tongue. Raw is the tastiest, after all. Horse meat doesn't have much of a distinctive flavor, so once it's processed, it becomes delicious mystery meat lol
