There are lots of Iekei ramen places around Kyodo Station lol I like chicken oil, so I order extra even at places I am visiting for the first time. Ordered ramen. Rice is a must, so I got the regular size. Hmmmm. Maybe it does not go well with rice?! Not just the soy sauce, but the other flavors are fairly weak too. I do not know where the owner trained, but this was mild Iekei. The biggest feature here was the all-you-can-eat rice. Since ao kappa is free, perhaps the owner comes from that lineage. If I ordered a stronger seasoning, it might go well with rice too.

ひじり家 ひじり家 is a 3-minute walk from Kyodo Station. It firmly retains the Musashiya-lineage flavor, but has more chicken oil than other shops and is very mellow. The relatively easy-to-drink broth personally gave me a neo-Musashiya impression. The thickness and softness of 酒井製麺 noodles are exquisite, and I could not put my chopsticks down. I chose tokusen, and the impressive 8 sheets of nori softly envelop the noodles and rice. In this day and age, free rice and free refills are by no means something to take for granted. The clean interior and the staff’s enthusiastic atmosphere simply make me want to return. Thank you for the meal. #ひじり家 #家系ラーメン #ラーメン #経堂ラーメン #経堂駅ラーメン

🍜What I ordered 【Ramen (regular)】 The broth concentrates that classic Iekei pork-bone umami into a rich yet creamy, easy-to-drink bowl! Coming from the Musashiya lineage, its deliciousness is a sure thing. The noodles and broth cling together perfectly, making every mouthful feel “so delicious!” A truly addictive flavor! 【Free rice & pickles】 The other star here is, amazingly, free rice with unlimited refills! And the free cucumber pickles (きゅうりのQちゃん and shibazuke) are truly fantastic. Wrapping rice in nori soaked in rich Iekei broth, or eating it with pickles…the endlessly available rice and pickles go together so well that I could not help getting seconds🍚✨ 【Popularity】 Just what you would expect from a famous shop near the station. Even a little after 12, slightly past lunchtime, there was a line outside! The lively, bright interior and good staff service make this a bowl worth lining up for. Absolutely recommended for anyone wanting hearty, delicious Iekei ramen in Kyodo or the ultimate accompaniment to rice!

・Large ramen 1,050円 ひじり家 is definitely the reason I came to love Iekei ramen. It taught me how perfectly ramen and rice can go together! My first visit in a while. I wanted to greedily tuck into ramen, so I got a large! Free rice with unlimited refills is such a blessing. Pickles too, fantastic. The ramen is delicious〜. This is it. Adding garlic makes it outstanding. Then I added egg, doubanjiang, garlic, pickles, ground sesame, and broth to the rice and dug in! It was insanely good. Thank you for the meal!

Visited ひじり家 in Kyodo, apparently run by someone from Musashiya. No line on a weekday around 18:00. Rice comes in small, medium, or large, with free refills. Kappa available. Regular ramen, with all preferences set to standard. The broth has a mild pork-bone flavor. Light and tasty. Depending on the day, it might feel a little lacking. Stronger seasoning could work when pairing it with rice. It has no gritty texture or unpleasant smell. The chashu is fresh simmered pork. Firm and tasty. The spinach is boiled just right. The noodles are from 酒井製麺 and reliably delicious. A little soft by default, but not too soft, and tasty. The free rice is not dry and tastes good too. A good point. If you like lighter flavors in the Musashiya lineage, this might be a good place. With no grittiness or animal odor from the pork bones, it is a flavor that can satisfy everyone.
