It opened in my neighborhood and I'd been curious, so I went with my husband! The gyoza are small but the veggies are crisp! I'm usually a vinegar-heavy vinegar-and-soy person, but the special miso was so good that I ate almost everything with the miso sauce! The Tearful Yamagata Dashi is 5 pan-fried gyoza topped with dashi. The ingredients are chopped finer than store-bought dashi, and the wasabi flavor is strong, so be careful if you can't handle spicy… The sweet and spicy fried gyoza were also delicious, with lots of spice on the sweet-spicy sauce! The corn potage chips are fried gyoza wrappers with corn potage flavoring. They're served in a paper bag, so we gave it a light shake. We got the M size, and it was more than enough even split between two! An addictive flavor you can't stop eating…! The ginger cucumber had a strong seasoning that seems great with drinks, and the almond tofu was jiggly, chewy, milky, and delicious! The place is small, but the atmosphere was so stylish you'd forget the previous tenant was a takeout-only fried food shop. The menu has no photos or descriptions, and the staff member I asked seemed a little inexperienced; also, I'd read reviews saying they don't provide oshibori, so I figured not having one was normal, but other tables had them, so it seems they just forgot ours — for those things only I took off 1 star, but all the staff were pleasant, and it's a place I'd love to see stick around for a long time!
