Came on a Tuesday night without a reservation and was welcomed nicely, though not with the usual Japanese profusion. I was quickly told the rules: each pizza must be ordered with a drink. Why not? I have always found these forced orders a bit odd, but they are not the only ones doing it, so I will assume it is a local custom. The big downside for me was the cash only policy for bills under 10,000 yen. Fortunately, I had some cash in my pocket that night, which I usually never do, otherwise I would have eaten somewhere else. That said, the Four Cheese pizza I ordered was proper and as good as it gets. I am not really sure why the food was criticized in other reviews, because it is the exact same type of pizza I have had in the best pizzerias in Europe.
View on Google12/9/25 9:30 reservation I hardly ever run into bad food and service. First time I’m write a bad review. The food was mediocre. The atmosphere is alright. The server was drinking with customers and was very rude. No explanation of the rules of the house where each person has to order a plate and drinks. I was told that’s not enough orders, you have to order more. I get it, but there were no explanations. Just plainly rude. We had a child with us and just so happen to raise their foot on the wooden bench. Without any warning he touched me on the shoulder and said something to the effect that “customers sit on that bench and having the child’s feet on it is not acceptable. Yes, I agree that not polite but the approach is all wrong and I was quite upset that instead of verbally trying to get my attention, I was backhand slapped like gesture to get my attention is absolutely unacceptable. I will never bring my friend or clients here ever again. We didn’t even get a ARIGATOUGOZAIMAS from the server. If he had been customer friendly the food would have taste better. Quite unfortunate. Not worth it.
View on GoogleAmazing and intimate dining for filling pizza and fresh salad!! Awesome selection of wines. We asked for orange and they brought us 5 to choose from! Staff lets you do your thing and my friend and I stayed for hours talking and eating. Others came and left if you are pressed for time but also a great place to chill, chat, and eat delicious food. I was so full I couldn’t ever think of dessert!
View on GoogleIf you are not only an Italian/pizza lover, but also a natural wine explorer, this restaurant could be a solid choice. Simply cooked Italian dishes (pizza is especially beautiful), high quality ingredients and world natural wines, what else? Some say the service staff were unfriendly, but I don't think so, if you ask about dishes/wines/portions (if you're a newcomer, this is must), they will answer appropriately😉 Also some of the main dishes are a bit pricey as a restaurant in Shimokitazawa, but the quality is undoubtedly high, worth it.
View on Googlefeeling so incredibly confused that this place has less than 4 stars? wine options were incredible — the most fragrant orange blend + a lovely south Italian red. the dishes really made me feel like i was back in Italy, specifically the focus on produce throughout the dishes. possibly my favorite meal through my entire ~2 week stay in Japan.
