We are tourists from Italy. We experienced authentic and Japanese food and isekaya restaurant experience! The staff and the service was amazing and we tried very good dishes made with pork or fish and delicious sake.
View on GoogleA local grilled pork (Kushiyaki sticks) restaurant ran by a family. It is about 5 minutes walk from the station. The place is tiny but a very warm and at-home atmosphere. The chef used to work at an Italian restaurant so he arranged his original herb-pork and beacon-tomato sticks. Japanese local slow-cooked food are served as side dishes. They also have a good selection of Japanese sake from all over the country as well. Both counter and tables are available. The family is a big fan of The Beatles, and it is enjoyable to talk to them.
View on GoogleThe best yakiton restaurant I've ever been to. I've returned many times over the last 4 years or so. Every cut of yakiton is delicious without complaint, but outside the meat dishes, the uma dashi shiitake yaki and sweet potato with raisin butter are incredibly good. With the uma dashi shiitake yaki, the dashi alone is enough to enjoy a drink with. None of the individual dishes disappoint, whatever you order. The curry is delicious too, so whenever I have room, I always order it to finish. Even when it's full, the food comes out at a good pace without a long wait, and all the staff are pleasant. There are a few rules, such as no groups of 2 or more (families of up to 4 are OK), reservations after 18:00 being handled by calling about 10 minutes before arrival, with seats held if available, and cash-only payment, so keep these in mind when visiting. ※I think these rules are because it's a small place with low prices.
View on GoogleDisappointing. I originally came on a recommendation, and on my several previous visits, the food, drinks, and owner were all great. It was a lovely place. When I went back after a long time, there was a younger man who seemed very cold? His eyes weren't smiling? Stern? Something like that.. . I was just drinking, eating, and chatting happily with a friend, but that man told us off twice for being noisy. I don't remember being particularly loud, and I'd never been told that at other places or there before... Besides, there were lots of other customers, it was almost full and noisy, so it felt unfair. Maybe that person has made the atmosphere stricter. It left us feeling unpleasant, which was very disappointing.
View on GoogleIt's become a place along the Odakyu Line I'd like to visit regularly. The drinks, motsuyaki, and snacks are thoughtfully chosen and delicious.
