On a humid, Monday afternoon, my wife and I decided to escape the heat by visiting Cosmos Soap Curry in Sangenjaya. And while the spice, the temperature heat of the curry, and a lagging of the air condition did not effectively cut the heat, the meal was yummy. We both ordered the curry that promised twenty different vegetables, which roughly translates to one vegetable per type; I also decided to add a whole chicken leg for some protein. Additionally, when you order, you are able to select your spice level; I picked the highest level and to my surprise, it packed quite the kick. Now, the soup rue was a little watery, but the flavor was fantastic. The vegetables were nicely prepared, love crunchy vegetables in soups and curries. The chicken needed more seasoning but when mixed with the curry, it worked. All in all, great meal.

★★★★★ Stumbling upon this Japanese curry soup restaurant on a chilly winter’s day felt like finding an oasis in the most arid desert, or a warm cabin with a crackling fireplace in the Arctic tundra. It hit the spot perfectly. From the first spoonful, the rich, aromatic broth delivered deep comfort, layered spice, and just the right amount of heat to warm you through without overwhelming the palate. The curry was robust yet balanced, the ingredients fresh and generous, and every element felt thoughtfully prepared. Add to that a calm, welcoming atmosphere and attentive service, and the experience was exactly what you hope for on a cold day. This is the kind of place you do not just visit, you remember and actively seek out again.

The 牛すじオムカレー was so great, the drinks were also good and refreshing. But the music that they were putting on was actually weird. I guess people won’t really enjoy Ariana Grande, Rihanna, etc. songs when they’re having their meal. Despite all that, this place is great and must visit.

First time here (have been to the shimokitazawa one several times, both in-dining and take away). I always enjoy the soup curry here & it's a good balance of spice that suits my taste and isn't too fishy or heavy. Perhaps it's due to inflation but they have cut back on quantity / quality of the veg on offer (same in shimokitazawa). That said prices have remained and I guess cut backs have to be made somewhere.

unexpected find! natural and fresh ingredients and the curry is a fine balance between heavy and light. Perfect winter food. We had the chicken + pork vegetable set. amazing. You could even pick the level of spice. ❤️
