ふくもりChuka Soba Fukumori
Cozy, simple eatery featuring roasted pork & lard soup ramen, plus tsukemen dipping noodles.
Located at 東京都世田谷区野沢4-9-18テイク野沢1F. A bowl with a bold edge, made with an uncompromising focus on “niboshi,” including aji, iwashi, and hirako. The soup preparation method, which extracts maximum umami without bitterness, showcases the owner’s craftsmanship developed over many years with the せたが屋 group. Alongside the signature chuka soba, the tsukemen, featuring flavorful original thick noodles coated in rich niboshi broth, is another outstanding dish recommended by the owner that you should try at least once.

I came here to try their Chinese cold noodle dish (冷やし中華そば) as a friend said it was good. I honestly didn’t look at anything else on the menu in terms of ramen, but added a pork bowl (チャーシュー丼) to my order. The noodles were fantastic, with a little chewiness and that hot and sour taste. Everything went well together, from the pork to the cucumber to the onions. The rice bowl was good too. Service was great and staff were friendly.

View on GoogleI visited because this ramen restaurant has a strong reputation in the 駒沢 area. It’s along 環七 and easy to access, with counter and table seating inside and an atmosphere that makes it easy to visit alone. I had the signature chuka soba. The soup impressed me with its excellent balance: strong niboshi umami with restrained bitterness. The fairly thick noodles were firm and satisfying, and paired wonderfully with the broth. I think this bowl is especially worth recommending to fans of niboshi ramen. Apparently the tsukemen is popular too, not just the ramen, so I’d like to try that next time. Prices are relatively reasonable, and the satisfaction level is quite high. It can get crowded depending on the time, but I still felt it was worth lining up for. Anyone looking for ramen around 駒沢 should definitely visit at least once.
