I'm not sure what the style is officially called, but it's rich pork and bonito broth. The place is very cool looking inside and out. And the music is sort of smooth dance. You order on a touchscreen kiosk which has great detailed pictures, but no English. I got tsukemen here once in the middle of the summer, but don't really remember it and didn't write a review. So went back. I ordered the special ramen this time. When I handed them my ticket and sat down at the counter, I was excited to see the garlic press and jar of fresh cloves in front of me. I decided I was definitely adding garlic before I tasted the broth. When it arrived, the broth was good, albeit a little average. Sure, it was thick and salty, with a strong, almost wine-like umami, and acceptable meaty pork and bonito flavor. But it got much better after I crushed a medium sized clover of fresh garlic into it. All the flavor notes were amplified. The noodles were good, thick and chewy. The egg was cooked perfectly, so it had fantastic texture, but it lacked flavor. About halfway through eating, I added some chili paste and that took the whole experience up another notch. It added just enough kick. The chasu pork slice was mediocre, a little on the tough side. It also had a bit of refrigerator flavor and texture. Overall, the ramen here ranks as acceptable-to-pretty good. It's not going to blow your mind. But it's fine. I like that they have small and large sizes. Next time, I'd probably order a side of green onions. Maybe also some bean sprouts. That might make it great-to-fantastic. And I guess that's the thing, you can really customize your experience here, but the default choice lacks wow factor on it's own.
View on GoogleThey serve ramen in a thick, pork and bonito-based broth! I love the ramen here, but I also love the black fried rice ✨ Richly flavored fried rice goes well with rich ramen noodles. Buy your meal ticket ahead of time and give it to the waiter and wait. It's open until late at night and the food you order is delivered immediately, so it's very useful when you want to eat quickly.
View on GoogleThe noodles at this restaurant are very delicious and suit my taste, and the gyoza is also very tasty.
