This place is great! A two-person operation. Apparently, it’s always crowded, but we were lucky to get in without any wait time. I had the fried rice/ramen set. The fried rice was delicious! The ramen was simple and a classic style. It was delicious! If you’re in the Higashi Matsubara area, Banraiken is a must go. Kudos to the owners as you can tell they work really hard to make such great food!

Simple and delicious ramen. Great portions. The menu is quite diverse with several options of ramen available as well as other dishes. Might get busy during lunchtime.

Ramen and chahan at 萬来軒🍜 When I previously had katsudon without egg covering the cutlet at this neighborhood Chinese restaurant, I became convinced that the cook here had incredible skills👨‍🍳 and decided I absolutely had to try the ramen and chahan next time. Just as I thought❣️❣️ The soup is absolutely nailed! The ultimate nostalgia. I ended up drinking every last drop😋💨 It's the first time I've finished all the soup with ramen and chahan❣️ The fried rice is super fluffy too, perfectly seasoned and insanely good😋 It took 1st place in my personal ramen-and-chahan ranking👑 Viva🙌ultimate nostalgia🍜 【Katsudon without egg covering the cutlet】 Who knew you could get this katsudon at a neighborhood Chinese restaurant🐷 The egg is cooked together with it, but poured around so it doesn't cover the cutlet. The top coating stays crunchy while the bottom absorbs the dashi, cleverly giving you 2 different textures🐽 The owner gets it😋 Could this be a hidden gem? The fried rice looked delicious, so next time I'm definitely going for ramen and chahan🍜🍚

The katsudon I saw on Google Maps caught my attention, so I got off along the way to try it‼︎ So close to the station, about a 10-second walk‼︎ You can see it from the platform too‼︎ It's a neighborhood Chinese restaurant run by a married couple, perhaps?‼︎ I arrived after 20:00 and 1 person was waiting. I was seated in about 15 minutes. The katsudon tasted just right, neither too sweet nor too strongly seasoned. The tonkatsu was moist and an easy-to-eat thickness‼︎ After one bite I couldn't stop and ate it all in one go‼︎ Thank you for the meal

This is an old-fashioned Chinese restaurant in Higashi Matsubara on the Inokashira Line. I visited for lunch, but even though it was around 2 in the afternoon, the counter was full and I waited a little. After tasting the food, I understood why. I ordered kantonmen, and the broth was very delicious. Despite the fairly large portion, I polished it off. The owner doesn't say much, but you can feel his determination to serve delicious food.
