The eat-in area is available from 8 in the morning, and there are power outlets for charging devices. That makes it extremely useful in front of 八幡山 Station, where there isn’t even a ドトール. AntenDo was founded in the 1990s, and its first store was apparently in a department store basement. It’s hard to imagine opening in a department store right from the start, so there seems likely to be some untold dark history, such as a split or a family dispute. I think the bread is very delicious, even compared with アンデルセン and モンタボー.

I had a question, so I called the day before my visit. As others have also written, the young female staff member’s attitude was so unpleasant that I was shocked. I went first thing the next morning, but there wasn’t a single “Welcome” or a smile. Even though it was opening time, the atmosphere made me wonder whether I could enter. When I asked, “May I come in?”, she just said “Yes” with a sour expression, in a voice so quiet I could barely hear it. Perhaps she even thought I was in the way, as she put the shop sign outside looking thoroughly bothered. If you hate working there that much, why not quit? Your attitude alone inconveniences customers who want to enjoy visiting, the bakers, and every other staff member. I live nearby, so I intend to tell her directly the next time we meet.

The 八幡山 branch of a bakery chain, just 20 seconds from the 八幡山 ticket gates. There’s a wide variety of bread as well as sweets, and an eat-in cafe, though seating is limited. The counter by the window has power outlets and is quite comfortable.
