Dinner is by reservation only, so I hadn't been able to visit for quite some time, but I finally stopped by the other day. Of the 3 courses, I chose the middle one. The amount was just right for someone middle-aged, and I thoroughly enjoyed seasonal ingredients such as hamo and unagi. There was a private tatami room, where the 5 of us enjoyed a leisurely meal while chatting and pouring sake for each other. Considering the quality of the food and service, this restaurant offers excellent value for money. I'd like to visit again.

A Japanese restaurant along the elevated railway, not far from Kyodo Station. The owner, Mr. Akino, trained at Kanetanaka and is the real deal. The ingredient sourcing, the preparation of dashi that forms the foundation of the flavors, the grilling, the cooking, the knife work—everything is different from an izakaya. So, it seems they operate by reservation, and you'll need to budget accordingly.

A Japanese restaurant very close to Kyodo Station. I'd been curious about it for a while, but it looked a bit expensive and felt intimidating to enter. I went for lunch, and the lunch prices were reasonable, which was really nice. They also had tempura and tai chazuke, but I chose the daily set meal. That day's main was chicken mizoreni. It came with miso soup, rice, pickles, tamagoyaki, and a daikon salad, and the main mizoreni was piping hot with plenty of grated daikon. The grated daikon had thoroughly absorbed the dashi flavor and went well with white rice. The eggplant was delicious too, and the chicken was tender with a gentle flavor. All this for 1100円. I was very satisfied. I'd like to try another daily special

We visited for an okuizome celebration on 2021年4月25日(日). That day was the first day of the 3rd state of emergency, and serving alcohol had been prohibited. They said they were only opening when they had reservations during the pandemic. We were the only customers that day, so we had the place to ourselves. The food was really delicious! The mixed rice with sakura ebi was especially delicious! There were so many sakura ebi that even a single spoonful of rice contained several. Perhaps the sakura ebi had been dry-roasted, as they smelled fragrant and were easy to eat.

Had the lunch course Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious. The tableware was thoughtfully chosen too, and the staff provided good service. It's a lovely restaurant.
