Fun spot to visit, inside a converted school building full of other fun establilshments. Good coffee, though outside seating could get a bit hot during summer when the full sun is blasting.
View on Google2026/8 This is a takeout-only coffee shop. I was curious about the coffee milk, but since I heard it's quite sweet, I went with the iced café latte. The punchy espresso and rich milk were so delicious 😊
View on GoogleA coffee roaster located inside HOME WORK VILLAGE. They have an extensive menu and the light meals look delicious! Today I had the hot coffee milk! The original coffee syrup was so delicious!
View on Google【I found a coffee shop that I 'definitely want to recommend' to friends, family, and loved ones 😊】 I recently visited 'A day in the coffee' in the Mishuku area. The location is 2-4-5 Ikejiri, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, on the 1st floor, unit 114 of 'HOME/WORK VILLAGE', a complex utilizing the former site of Ikejiri Junior High School. It's about a 10-minute walk from 'Ikejiri-Ohashi' Station on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, or about a 6-minute walk from the 'Mishuku' bus stop. What made me happy about this place first was choosing the beans for 'cold brew' coffee. During the hot summer months, I always make cold brew to chill and enjoy at home, but using their roasted beans somehow felt just right, giving me a 'This is it!' feeling. My lunch break moment suddenly became something to look forward to, and it felt like a luxurious way to transition my time. Highly aromatic with no off-flavors. Their dedication to roasting and selecting beans was clear. Also, worth mentioning is that they gave me an 'original booklet' in the store (distribution was suspended as of 2025/11/10) as a gift. Even if you aren't familiar with coffee beans, the key points for brewing deliciously and the characteristics of the beans were summarized in an easy-to-understand way, giving me the confidence that 'I can brew it myself.' Their official website also features columns like 'Let's buy good coffee beans! / Steps to brew delicious coffee with a hand-drip.' I felt that genuine 'love' is poured into the beans themselves and how to enjoy them afterward. Furthermore, the sweets are a must-see! Their chilled dorayaki is a masterpiece you should definitely try. With a sweetness and lightness that lingers alongside the aftertaste of the coffee, it elevates the whole coffee time to a higher level. Be sure to check it out when you visit. If you live near the Mishuku/Ikejiri area, you should definitely drop by at least once. Of course, for 'coffee lovers' outside Setagaya-ku, it's well worth making the trip. They also have a freshly roasted coffee bean subscription service, with free shipping nationwide and 5% off all the time. After visiting, it was a piece that made me think once again, 'I'm going to cherish this time more and use it for myself.' A day in the coffee is highly recommended ⭕️
View on GoogleI visited on a day in May when the outside temperature exceeded 25 degrees. It was a small shop run by just a woman who gave polite explanations when ordering and a man who made the products, but I could sense a lot of dedication and passion for coffee. I thought the latte would surely be delicious too, but giving in to the heat of the sun, I decided to try the latte smoothie. I was told when ordering that it was quite sweet, but the moderate sweetness was just right, and above all, the espresso flavor was extremely delicious. While items like a coffee float, where espresso is mixed into sherbet, can now even be bought at convenience stores, I think enjoying the taste of a specialty shop is the unique charm of places like this. Also, instead of pouring the espresso over the sherbet from above, they put the espresso at the bottom and then drop the sherbet on top, which I thought was a clever touch because you can first taste the espresso through the straw. Whether it's a latte or anything else, shops that serve espresso without arbitrarily mixing it with other things first never disappoint. It's not in my neighborhood, but I thought it's a place I'd like to use daily where I can undoubtedly drink good coffee. I also thought the prices were just right. Since it's not a cafe type, there is no place to relax inside the store. True to the store's name, I thought it was a simple and good shop where you can spend a day with good coffee as part of your daily life. The baked sweets in front of the register looked delicious too, so I'd like to try them next time.
