Enjoy the home cooked tastiness of the food. Friendly and homely atmosphere. The Ankake Yakisoba and fried chicken are my favorites 😉
View on GoogleIf you are living nearby, definitely worth a visit. Love this place. I recommend the “menchi-katsu croquet” - it’s ground beef and deep fried breaded potatoes. Delish but you have to use the brown katsu sauce. The older gentleman who owns the place is quite chillax, he won’t be getting up and guiding you to your seat, he probably won’t even stand up if you walk in, but I love it. It’s like his home and he doesn’t mind where you sit or what you order. I wouldn’t travel here to eat, if you live far away, but if you live nearby definitely the best (and the only) tonkatsu place in nishi-magome. **No English here so if you can’t speak Japanese just order what I recommended above and get yourself a “nama beer” to relax.

View on GoogleVisited "Takuman" in the Nishi-magome area for lunch during a break from working from home. The restaurant was crowded with many customers. Among the attractive lunch menu items, I ordered the standard "Loin Katsu (1000 yen)". Because the restaurant was very busy, it took quite a while from ordering until the food arrived. However, the staff said "Sorry for the wait" while giving me a Country Ma'am snack, and that warm consideration made me happy. The loin katsu that arrived later had a crispy, savory breading, with the juicy flavor of the meat locked inside. If eaten with the salt on the table, the natural sweetness of the meat stands out, and if mixed with the sauce, the flavor changes to something richer; both ways of eating were equally delicious. The tray included not only the main tonkatsu but also pleasant small side dishes, making for a very balanced and satisfying lunch. Although there was a wait, thanks to the heartfelt service and delicious tonkatsu, I was able to recharge my energy and get the motivation to work in the afternoon. I was completely full. Finished it all to the end. Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleLunch menu Loin Katsu Set 1000 yen Lunch is 950-1000 yen, including menchi + croquette, bite-sized katsu, ginger pork, etc. A tonkatsu restaurant rooted in the local community. Including side dishes, miso soup, and pickles, this price is a great deal.
