A casual cozy fried pork specialty restaurant. Service was a bit on the slow side but nothing too serious. The server might have hearing difficulties. So be patient. Food was very tasty. It seems a local favorite. Cash payment only.

I thought the Double Loin Katsu Set Meal for 1,080 yen would be two small loin cutlets, but I was surprised when two normal-sized cutlets, though thinnish, landed on the plate with a thud. The mustard comes in small packets. They'll give you salt if you ask, and it's super filling. Large rice is 60 yen extra. That makes 1,140 yen in total, and I'm stuffed. The rice itself is genuinely good, so I'm even more satisfied. It's a shame the pickles (chopped takuan) are the "Gyomu Super" kind; with a bit more effort here, it could be called the best value around. Looking it up, it seems there's also a shop in Tennocho, Yokohama. I come to Zoshiki a lot, so it's a place that makes me want to try other menu items too. Another day in November 2024. I had the katsudon, which apparently used to be 800 yen. The current price is a mere 650 yen! Large rice is 60 yen extra, but even without it the amount felt more than enough. The sauce isn't too sweet either, just how I like it. Plus it comes with miso soup, a selling point of this shop, so forget the chain gyudon places; this shop is definitely better value. I'll keep requesting some effort on the pickles.

A tonkatsu shop✨ Something about the look of the shop caught my interest, so I went in. I was in a curry mood, so I ordered the loin katsu curry🤗 Waited a little at the counter The harmony of the freshly fried, crispy-battered, super tasty loin katsu and the delicious, well-simmered curry was very satisfying♪😋 Next time I'd like to try a set meal like the fillet katsu!🤗

(2025/06/27) Had the mochi-buta premium loin katsu curry. The katsu was thick and crispy, delicious. The curry was meh, so I think menu items other than curry would be more satisfying. There was about two servings' worth of rice, so it's recommended for big eaters; light eaters might want to ask for less.

For the price, the meat is thick and very hearty. Fried up crisp, it's just what tonkatsu should be, and delicious! Whenever I go, the staff are friendly and chat with me. Two people run the shop, one cooking and one serving/handling payment, and even though I went around 2 o'clock, they looked busy. I'll be back!
