I am vegan and don’t eat any animal products. My girlfriend speaks mandarin and was able to ask if they have any vegan options. Our server said they don’t have any however they could customize a dish for us. They made me a spicy vegetable fried rice and it’s was yummy. Very friendly service and flexible with food options. Thanks!

■Why I visited On Sunday evening, I wanted to take my motorcycle out for a bit, so I went for a ride to Kojiya 🏍️ While strolling leisurely around the area, I naturally started craving gyoza—being here and all! As I walked around looking for a good place, I happened to find this restaurant along Kanpachi. Drawn to the nostalgic, appetizing look of this neighborhood Chinese restaurant, I wandered in with high hopes ✨ ■Overview An authentic, community-oriented neighborhood Chinese restaurant located along Kanpachi, just a short walk from Kojiya Station 🇨🇳 Inside is a homey, comfortable space where anyone can relax. I was struck by the wide range of customers, from people enjoying a quick solo drink to families having a meal. The menu offers everything from classic dim sum to authentic noodles and stir-fries at surprisingly reasonable prices, with an atmosphere perfect for everyday visits. In an area with fierce gyoza competition, it's a dependable spot to drop into casually. ■What I ate this time ・Garlic stir-fried greens(750円) The moment it arrived, a powerful, fragrant garlic aroma wafted up and instantly whetted my appetite 🧄 The greens were cooked just right to retain their crunch, with the umami-rich saltiness and garlic combining perfectly—so delicious I couldn't put my chopsticks down! ・Pan-fried gyoza, 6 pieces(400円) The restaurant's proud signature dish 🥟 The beautifully browned wrappers have a chewy texture, and one bite releases a rush of juicy meat juices! At this quality, 6 pieces for 400円 is incredible value. I recommend trying them plain first, without any sauce, to savor their flavor. ・Shanghai-style yakisoba(700円) The fragrant, special soy-based sauce clings well to the noodles, creating a somehow comforting dish. The flavors of the ingredients have thoroughly soaked in, filling your mouth with deliciousness alongside the chewy noodle texture 🥢 ・Hot and sour soup noodles(750円) A bowl distinguished by its thickened soup 🍜 When it first arrived, the flavor seemed a little mild, so I put my own customization into action! Adding the soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil on the table little by little in my preferred balance sharpened the sourness and heat, completely transforming it into a deeply flavorful bowl just to my liking 😋 It's fun to slurp it piping hot while developing the flavor to suit your taste. ■Recommended highlights ・Outstanding value: 6 superb, chewy pan-fried gyoza bursting with meat juices for 400円 💰 ・Plenty of classic dishes that go well with both drinks and rice, including crunchy stir-fried greens and Shanghai-style yakisoba 🍻 ・For the hot and sour soup noodles, I especially recommend customizing the seasoning with the table condiments (soy sauce・vinegar・chili oil) 💡 ・An excellent location along Kanpachi, easy to drop into during a casual Sunday-evening ride or stroll 🏍️

I visited for lunch. You can choose from 3 daily options, and that day I tried the set of chinjao rosu yakisoba and an egg chili rice bowl. For this amount of food, I think 800円 is great value! The yakisoba portion wasn't that large, but with the rice bowl, small side dish, and soup, I was satisfied. It's nice that the menu changes every day, so you can eat without getting bored!

I ordered mala knife-cut noodles and pan-fried gyoza. The knife-cut noodles weren't hand-shaved. But they were a type I'd never seen before, with frilly edges on both sides. As for the texture when eating them, they certainly weren't chewy, but they were relatively good dried noodles. One good point was that the frills kept them from slipping off the chopsticks, making them very easy to eat. The soup wasn't mala at all, but rather a tantan soup with pronounced sesame and nut flavors. Although the toppings weren't what I'd expected for mala knife-cut noodles, this worked in its own way. The gyoza wrappers were extremely thick, with tightly packed filling. For people who like this type of gyoza, I think they'd be irresistible. They look good too.
