First time to visit after being turned away from a few places. Oyster dishes are the restaurant's specialties, but everything from appetizers to salads to main dishes is great as well. The beer and wine list is extensive, while popularity limits availability, particularly on weekends. Friendly service. The clientele is a bit young. If you are looking for good food near Kamata Station, this is definitely a place to go. Arrive early (or make reservations). It's hard to get a table. (I dined alone and sat at the bar.)
View on GoogleDifferent seafood dishes available. Their aburi carpaccio is pretty good and so was the oyster ajillo. Prices are only but slightly higher than the surrounding restaurants. Staff service was also great and everyone was quite friendly. Seats and tables are a bit odd, spacing in between perhaps not comfortable for some areas and the small room at the very back has two tables right next to each other so separate groups using the tables can very easily hear each other’s conversations. Furthermore, there’s a small door that leads to cold storage and it didn’t help that staff very frequently entered it and also similarly frequently forgot to close the door properly - not good on a nice winter day, when we were there.
View on GoogleA bistro with delicious seafood dishes. The seafood potato salad is topped with plenty of ikura and looks beautiful. The raw oysters are fresh, and the asari clam and iwanori risotto was packed with seafood umami. A place I'd definitely like seafood lovers to visit.
View on GoogleA place I'd noticed but never entered, and several years went by Dropped in casually on a weekday off It was before 18:00, so I practically had the place to myself. The menu has various seafood snacks and main dishes. Started with the specialties. The oysters come raw or steamed, and all are large and fresh. Personally, I think I preferred the steamed ones. They arrive in a unique steamer, making them fun to look at too. They didn't shrink and were plump and delicious. Then the seared carpaccio. There's a raw version too, but the restaurant recommends the seared one. It really was delicious with its half-raw texture. Raw fish feels cold and gets a little repetitive, so searing was a great choice〇 Many dishes are fairly large, but there are small plates too, like marinated octopus and celery, so I felt it was convenient and easy to drop into, even after visiting several other places. An earlier customer was given a time limit because there was a later reservation, so around 18:00~19:00, it might be better to reserve.
View on GoogleA place with generous portions and delicious fish and meat. You can enjoy bottles of wine at reasonable prices too. When I ordered the seared carpaccio, it looked different from the menu photo, and I wondered if the portion was small, but it was surprisingly satisfying. I might prefer it to regular carpaccio! The meat also took a while to reach the table and was a little cold, though I don't know whether that was intentional. It tasted good. That day, the two of us got in just as some customers were leaving, but it was very crowded. The interior is a little cluttered, but very comfortable.
