This place is a hidden gem. Looks fancy and expensive from the outside but it's very affordable. Has some traditional seating. They didn't speak much English but we all kind and helped me order with ease. Most people get soba or udon. But actually the tempura is the MOST amazing thing. It's not super crispy but the sauce is so delicious. 💴 cash only 😷 required

A very best hand-made soba and udon restaurant; one of the bests of over hundreds of soba restaurants I have visited as soba freak. At dinner times, you can also enjoy a wide variety of Japanese cuisines including sashimi and tempura.

I'd been curious about this place for a while. I visited at lunchtime on a weekday. It was almost full of locals. The place is nicely designed. I ordered mori soba and a mini tendon. Apparently the soba is stone-ground, but the soba itself didn't impress me much. Next time I'll try the recommended soba set that everyone else was having. Thanks for the meal.

This soba shop is close to Ookayama Station. I usually pass it by, but I wanted a quick meal, so I went straight in. Note: there's a sign saying cash only. The interior has a pleasant atmosphere. It looks like the food will be good, which gets you excited. I ordered the tonkatsu and soba set plus a separate shrimp tempura. The shrimp tempura arrived with salt, and I had it first as a drinking snack. Pretty tasty. The set meal arrived afterward. The soba noodles were thin, without much aroma. The tonkatsu was very well cooked. It's a neighborhood soba shop. Thanks for the meal.
