Bumped into this retro Japanese café run by an elderly couple. The coffee was lovely, and the butter toast + castella cake were absolutely superb. Such a warm little spot with so much charm.

During our first trip to Tokyo, we came across this hidden gem of a cafe -- tucked inside a quaint and peaceful alley. As we do not speak Japanese, the kind owner tried his very best to serve us and explain the menu items in English! He was so friendly and welcoming. Their specialties are gratin, pasta, as well as their homemade chiffon cakes, which were all amazing! Shoutout to their beef stew as well, extremely underrated and tasty. The entire atmosphere was super relaxing and pleasant too. It's a great place to unwind and in the midst of a packed Japan trip. We made it a tradition to come here each time I go to Tokyo, and they'll have a life-long customer in me! Although we see each other once every few years, the owner always remembers us each time we drop by! I hope to see you and your family in Singapore as well. <3

Wonderful little cafe with delicious food and endearing service. The spaghetti/macaroni gratin is excellent, the salad and chiffon cake are great too. Even the music they play is super pleasant, a peaceful neighborhood oasis. Highly recommended.

I only tried the coffee and shiffon cake. Both were good but I have eaten/drank better. The cake was better than the coffee.

Kept going back for cocoa, tea and coffee due to its excellent service and homely vibes. Was sad to find out we couldn't visit for our last day as it was closed on Mondays and that we had an early flight the next day, but nevertheless, would highly recommend!
