I had the gomoku yakisoba. It's loaded with toppings like chashu and kamaboko, but it was a bit of a shame that the noodles had gone soggy. It's what you'd call a "machi-chuka" (neighborhood Chinese diner), with regulars drinking beer from midday.
View on GoogleI had the eggplant soba (750 yen). Generous portion and delicious. The gyoza here are good too.
View on GoogleIt feels less like a Chinese restaurant and more like a neighborhood diner focused on ramen. I thought "old-time ramen shop" fits the image better. Inside there are 7 counter seats and three 4-person tables. Prices are slightly on the cheap side, easy to order. It seems one older man runs it alone. The eggplant soba was mentioned in reviews, so I ordered it along with gyoza.
View on GoogleFirst of all, the head chef, the previous owner, and the proprietress are all extremely kind! The all-important taste is gentle too, not oily, and I love it. I think that's why elderly regulars from the neighborhood come so often. With remote work dragging on, I sometimes come for lunch. And when I want to eat a ridiculous amount of Chinese food. Wolfing down gomoku soba, fried rice, and full-size gyoza is seriously the best. I get insanely full, but it's not heavy.
View on GoogleI love shops with this kind of atmosphere. The taste was ordinary, but it was cheap.. The fried rice had a mushy texture like sticky rice; I hope that was just a fluke··· I'd like to go again.
