■Castella Fruit Sandwich The 'Castella Fruit Sandwich' is Nakamuraya's original fruit sandwich, with fresh fruit sandwiched in Taiwanese castella sponge. The fluffy, lightly sweet Taiwanese castella pairs perfectly with juicy fruit and fresh cream! It's popular across all generations, so much so that it sells out every day at existing stores. ■Collaboration with Hasunuma Kitchen, a Type B Continuous Employment Support Facility 'Taiwan Castella Nakamuraya Hasunuma Kitchen' was made possible through a collaboration between Taiwan Castella Nakamuraya, which operates 6 stores in Fukuoka, Aichi, and Oita, and Hasunuma Kitchen, a Type B Continuous Employment Support Facility in Nishi-Kamata, Ota-ku, Tokyo. ■Hasunuma Kitchen's parent organization is an NPO…

A homey cafe run by a gentle-looking owner and staff. The iced coffee for 200 yen was a generous portion and delicious! I could hear giggling from behind the counter, which warmed my heart too♡ The interior has lovely art on display and you can feel the warmth of natural wood. Even with lots of regulars, nobody talks loudly, and the atmosphere is soft. The bavarois was sold out. (early afternoon)

This cafe felt out of place for someone like me, so even though I was curious I kept hesitating, but I finally took the plunge and got takeout. The Taiwanese castella is like chiffon cake, no, maybe more like a soufflé~. It's fluffy but tastes properly like castella, maybe from honey, with some richness, yet it's light to eat, and delicious. It has to be refrigerated and they said by the next day, so it's quite a lot for me to eat alone. I also tried the rusks made from the trimmings. Light rusks that bring out the sweetness of the sponge itself, tasty. Could get addictive. The next day, I tried various ways of eating it that the shop staff recommended. Chill in the fridge The fluffiness becomes moist Microwave for 10–20 seconds It gets even fluffier Lightly toast it Crispy-fluffy texture You can enjoy it depending on your mood.

Prices are a bit high. The castella is sent from Kyushu, so it's been frozen and thawed. Because of this, quality and price are sacrificed. The coffee isn't drip. A machine, even though there are few customers? This also sacrifices quality and price.

When I went at 14:30, there were already only the last 2 left❗💦 The fresh cream wasn't heavy, and was surprisingly light. I guess it can't be helped, but it's hard to eat (lol) My hands and around my mouth got sticky (lol) I recommend bringing a handkerchief or wet wipes❗That's exactly why I wish there were tables + chairs outside instead of benches💦 We had a dog with us, so we sat on the outside bench to eat, and with a table I think we could have eaten more calmly🤔
