I'm reluctant to give an honest review. Selfishly it might make getting a reservation much more difficult. Fantastic owner/Chef, carefully prepares and serves. Since I have always been taught & believe, "honesty is the best", Truth-This is fantastic Italian. No tatemae, truly outstanding. DomoArigatoGozaimasu for a super meal. Wishing for many more with out difficulty getting a reservation:)
View on GoogleChecked for pizza spots near our hotel and came across La Casa. Could have sworn it said it was open until 10pm. When we arrived at 8, there were 0 diners and chef looked surprised we were there. After being seated we noticed the Google listing said it was temporarily closed…which made his reaction make more sense to us. He seated us and took our order regardless, but we opted for pasta instead. To say the food was wonderful seems modest… it was amazing and absolutely delicious. I want to go back before we leave and take our boys, but I’ll definitely check Google again. Wish I had taken my phone for pictures, but we can say with definite certainty the shrimp & crab pasta, and the mushroom pasta with homemade tagliatelle were outstanding. Update*** We did return (a few days later) with the rest of the family (party of 4), this time making sure to make reservations. We all ordered pizzas (each different) and just as the first time… it was fabulous.
View on GoogleAbsolutely delicious! The service was exceptional, very polite & attentive. We got the margarita and marinara pizza with some French fries / potato wedges. The marinara pizza was vegan & I added mushrooms. Super satisfying. The ingredients were rich and flavorful. Hard to find this quality of taste. We were very pleased & left with happy tummies. :-)
View on GoogleI’ve been in Japan for about 3 weeks and tried all different kinds of restaurants to include Michelin restaurants. This was my favorite place my entire visit. The pizza is better than New York and Italy combined. Been to Italy and I have to say this food was better, best Italian for in the world! The restaurant is located in the lobby of a hostel and recommend making reservations ahead of time. It’s a one chef show and he brings such passion and pride in his craft for food. Kind and enthusiastic. He showed every customer out when they were ready to go. Thank you Chef for your hospitality. Chefs kiss
View on GoogleThe restaurant is just 8 covers for people not staying in the hostel. Don’t be put off. If you can get a table jump at the chance. The food is all freshly prepared and cooked in sight. The pizza is cooked in a wood fired oven. The house pasta was freshly rolled and cooked (even the ordinary pasta is excellent). We will have to come back. The rest of the menu looks amazing.
