Reasonably priced yet the portions are huge! It's also fairly close to the station, and the delicious Hiroshima-yaki and side dishes are awesome! A wonderful spot where you can enjoy fish, meat, and vegetables😋😋
View on Google***Second visit*** 8-minute walk from Keikyu Zoshiki. Go through the shopping street in front of the station and cross the JR railroad crossing. I came because I heard there's an okonomiyaki shop that locals frequent: Konaemon. Weekday lunchtime, no customers yet, so I went in as the first customer of the day. Took a counter seat by the entrance. Ordered the Hiroshima-yaki with double noodles (1000 yen tax included). Waited 10 minutes. Drew Doraemon with mayonnaise and dug in! The well-grilled yakisoba had crispy bits here and there, a fun texture. ***First visit*** 8-minute walk from Keikyu Zoshiki. Go through the shopping street in front of the station and cross the JR railroad crossing. I came because I heard there's an okonomiyaki shop that locals frequent: Konaemon. Saturday lunchtime, 3 customers before me, people having daytime drinks. Took a counter seat by the entrance. Ordered the Hiroshima-yaki with double noodles (1000 yen tax included). A year ago it was 950 yen. Waited 10 minutes with growing anticipation. Well-grilled yakisoba sandwiched inside!
View on GoogleThe okonomiyaki was delicious The price, too, considering it's Hiroshima-yaki eaten in Tokyo, is on the reasonable side If I could ask for more, I'd want to eat it off the teppan, but it's counter only so I guess it can't be helped (and not many people can eat it neatly anyway There are only 5 counter seats, and it seems smoking is allowed even at lunch If it were non-smoking at least at lunch, I'd feel like coming back… This shop isn't really suited for people with kids
View on GoogleWithin walking distance of Keikyu Zoshiki Station, a little off the shopping street. Counter seats only inside, so it's not great for groups of 3 or more. Takeout is available too. You pay at the end, cash only. Besides regular menu items like Hiroshima-yaki, yakisoba, and tonpei-yaki, all sorts of dishes from oden to hamburg steak are posted around the shop, so they seem to offer a wider range than it looks. The Hiroshima-yaki uses plenty of cabbage and extra-thin noodles. They take real care grilling it. I think medium-thick noodles are the norm elsewhere, but these unique thin noodles are fragrant and delicious. You add mayonnaise and karashi mayonnaise yourself afterward to taste. It was so good it made me want to order the yakisoba too. Recommended.
View on GoogleThe ramen shop near me was temporarily closed…. Oh well, I decided to go to the okonomiyaki shop I'd been to once at night. I had the Hiroshima-yaki with cheese and corn toppings for 1000 yen. There's a good amount of noodles in it, so it's filling. A counter-only shop that allows smoking, I really wish they'd stop that
