At first I didn't realize you could drink tea at this shop and walked right past. Curious, I went back and looked at the notice on the door, which listed types of tea from Kagoshima Prefecture, so I opened the door and went in. True to the shop's name, there are rabbit figurines inside. Irresistible for rabbit lovers. Apparently this shop used to be in Togoshi and moved here because of redevelopment. The range of Kagoshima teas and black teas is amazing. Looking at the menu, I couldn't decide. I asked for a recommendation and had it hot. ・From Kagoshima 紅霧 Japanese black tea is rare, isn't it. Apparently the owners' family home is in Kagoshima, and they met the farmers directly and signed a contract. Japanese black tea is difficult; during the 48-hour fermentation someone has to stay with it constantly. Otherwise it quickly falls apart. Very delicate. You can have such precious black tea for under 500 yen. Now, when you order, they boil water in a kettle and serve it piping hot in a teapot. The first cup was light. The second cup I had stronger. Black tea made by fermenting green leaves. The stronger second cup brings out the sweetness and umami. I recommend drinking this one straight. No bitterness or astringency, just a pleasant sweetness. I want to try comparing all kinds. Thanks for the treat.
