Hidden ramen restaurant in a basement area. It was difficult to find. It seems liked runes by part time workers rather than official ones. Therefor I ranked 3 as usually quality of ramen depends on cooks. Taste is simple, I guess they are meant to create for university students near by.

I used to be a regular at the Sumiyoshi branch, and after moving, I started coming to this location. Both the noodles and the broth differ from other abura soba specialty shops, and I think it has a flavor that people who like it will really love. They also have initiatives for regulars through their app and so on, as well as student offers such as student discounts, so it feels like great value. The topping lineup at 歌志軒 varies by location. This branch doesn't have the mildly spicy minced meat, but its ichimi chili seasoning is the oilier type, and they also offer an extra-hot version, which is great for spice lovers like me. If I had to point out a drawback, it would probably be the poor reception because it's underground.

I had nowhere else to vent about this, so although this may be out of place, please excuse me for posting here. I bought from their stall at Summer Sonic on August 16. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes and finally getting to order, a woman who seemed to be a part-time worker suddenly told me, "We've run out of onsen eggs. Is that okay?" There was no announcement while I was waiting in line, and this was what I got after such a long wait. I had no energy to line up somewhere else, so I paid the full price of 1,000円. There didn't seem to be any extra noodles or other ingredients, and there was no discount despite the missing onsen egg. There was also far too much sauce, and I couldn't finish it. Even for a festival, this was just too much.

I went to an abura soba shop near Ookayama Station. It's underground, in a seriously sketchy-looking spot. It's in an underground bar district, and since all the other places were closed when I went for lunch, I started wondering whether I should really be there. You go in and buy a meal ticket. I chose a large abura soba. It comes with 210g of noodles and costs 790円. I added white spring onion for 50円 and fish powder for 20円 as toppings. It's nice that the toppings are inexpensive. The toppings arrive first on a separate plate. Then the bowl arrives. Add the toppings and drizzle vinegar and chili oil around the bowl. Then just mix it all around and eat. It's a solid abura soba. Nothing particularly distinctive about it, but well, that's what abura soba is like, I suppose. Thanks for the meal.
