The space is not so big, but has great atmosphere and cozy interiors. The quality of music from master’s curation is amazing. You would not regret to hear what he is recommending. Coffee and Tea taste really good too. Have a good scent that have good match with music and space. Definitely is the great experience you can get from this district.
View on GoogleSound is so good!
View on GoogleFirst of all, the sound quality is more than good enough, and the song selection—solidly jazz yet wide-ranging! And importantly, the volume! They play it loud enough for the true essence of the music to come through. While many famous places boast "You can listen to JBL!" yet only play at background-music volume, this place really lets you enjoy jazz. You can feel the heart of the (probably) quiet owner! The interior is clean, and at first glance it might look like an ordinary coffee shop, but the Kenrick JBL and the equipment visible in the back are great too. Personally, if I could see the turntable spinning, I'd give it 200 out of 100. It's a place you can drop by without hesitation, so everyone, please go.
View on GoogleA comfortable place where you can listen to orthodox 1950s–60s jazz in very clean air under a high ceiling. I visited for the first time as a woman on my own, but the other customers were all solo too, each relaxing and enjoying the music, which put me at ease. The master has a gentle air and a neat, clean look. Working solo, the master smoothly serves tea and sweets and swiftly changes records, never letting the warm atmosphere break. The sweet of the day was a rare cheesecake with orange sauce. It was very delicious. It seems you can make requests, but you're not particularly asked, so you can just focus on zoning out and listening to the music. Solo customers all sit with their backs to the wall facing the speakers, so you take in the sound head-on. Facing big speakers at this distance is pure bliss. The JBL4331, rebuilt by Kenrick Sound, keeps the character of a speaker produced in the 1970s as its foundation while delivering a crisp, modern sound with no sluggishness. Even after listening for a long time it doesn't tire you out, and you end up staying a long while. I'd sometimes watched Kenrick Sound's fully rebuilt JBL speakers on YouTube and tried to imagine what they really sound like, but hearing them in person, how insane they are was many levels beyond what I'd imagined. Amazing. I don't have the courage to visit Kenrick's listening room, so I'm grateful to be able to hear them this way. It's astonishing that listening to 70-year-old records on 50-year-old speakers, the sound isn't dated at all but as vivid as a new recording. Beyond the power of the speakers, of course, I thought it must be the result of everything being in harmony—the amp, record player, cables, and the room's own height, size, materials, and layout. The shop is on the ground floor of a newly built house in a residential area. The surroundings are quiet, and it's very calming. I'd like to come back again and again when I want to be alone without worrying about anyone, or when I want to give myself over to the music and rest.
View on GoogleI dropped in because I wanted to read surrounded by pleasant music ^_^ I had herbal tea and today's sweet, a Kyoho grape rare cheesecake (I think). It's a place for quietly enjoying Jazz, so I wasn't sure how it would be for me since I don't know much about Jazz, but I was able to relax quietly and enjoy my reading! I also enjoyed the Jazz, every now and then thinking "I've heard this song before." A place where time flows slowly.
