This was my very first meal when I visited Japan. I had just checked into my hotel just down the road and after a 15 hour journey I was starving. My Japanese was poor as was my confidence in my ability to use it, but the lady of the shop sat me down and helped me order what I to this day believe was the best ramen I've ever had! And of course I had seconds! This meal and interaction set the tone for the next 10 days of my travels in Japan and I would like to say a belated thank you since this was in April 2003, but I still tell people about this wonderful shop to this day! I look forward to the day I can return and once again enjoy the wonderful atmosphere and the delicious ramen!
View on GoogleA long-established Chinese restaurant. It's relaxed. There are lots of lunch options, good value, and you leave full. The reba nira had lots of vegetables and just the right seasoning, it made the rice go down easily! The after-meal coffee is complimentary too, so we could relax, which was nice ( *´艸`) Thanks for the meal!
View on Google☆Rise and fall☆ Point: quality of taste… A long-established shop operating since the Showa era. It used to be a bit closer to Kamata Station, but I think it moved to its current location because the building got old? Back at the old shop it was very lively, with office workers and single people on weekdays and families on weekends. Even after moving to the current shop it was good at first, but now I've come to have doubts about both the taste of the food and the staff's attitude, which is a shame.
View on GoogleMy wife and I were wandering around Kamata, where we rarely go, looking for a place to drink, when a tasty-looking Chinese restaurant appeared in front of us, and lured by the sign saying their special gyoza🥟 is their pride!, we went inside. The interior has quite a bit of character, and the Chinese female staff member was friendly, good vibes😊 Right away we ordered medium draft beers🍺, gyoza, and stir-fried squid legs with spicy miso. Ooh, the gyoza is good! The squid legs were spicy too but went great with beer, pretty good. There are a lot of harsh reviews, but I thought it was good!
View on GoogleThe quintessential machi-chuka with an atmosphere like a drama filming set, Ishikawaya Shokudo! The faded, sepia-toned atmosphere of this interior is irresistible! This is fine, no, this is exactly what's great. The large gyoza were delicious! Being able to eat in this space for a few hundred yen, that alone makes it highly satisfying, I think. Thanks for the meal.
