Tasty!
View on GoogleThey offer set meals both at lunch and dinner, which was very helpful around 馬込, where there aren't many restaurants. I lived nearby for about 4 years and ate here many times, so I'm writing a review as I move away. I recommend the yurinchi and hoikoro set meals. Neither too strongly nor too lightly seasoned, they had just the right balance, and I ordered them often. Smoking isn't allowed inside, so smokers should keep that in mind.
View on GoogleThey have set meals at lunch and dinner, which I really appreciate as someone living alone. The chinjao rosu set meal is properly filling, yet costs 1,100円 including tax. It's run by a married couple and has a homey atmosphere.
View on GoogleA Chinese restaurant closer to authentic Chinese cuisine than a neighborhood Chinese diner. There are few places to eat around here and no convenience stores, so it's a valuable spot. Lunch service ends at 14:30, but they happily welcomed me even when I arrived after 14:00. The set meals I thought were lunch specials from the sign seem to be available all day. I ordered the nira reba set meal. I heard the sound of a wok being properly tossed, and then it arrived. The generous portions, including the rice, were welcome. The liver pieces were large, with a lovely aroma rising from them. The egg soup was unexpectedly delicious! Perhaps the stock differs from other places; the flavor had depth. The nira reba itself had crunchy bean sprouts and just the right balance with the thickened sauce, making the rice go down easily. With some zha cai between bites, I nearly finished it all in one go. But since it was served on a flat plate, there was no soup spoon, so I poured the remaining sauce and zha cai over the rice—absolutely delicious, haha. The annin tofu palate cleanser was small but tasted authentic. All this for 900円 is a bargain. Though I would have liked a hand towel or something? With an oily mouth, you need something to wipe it. The male staff member spoke Japanese normally, but the conversation from the kitchen was Chinese. That explains the authenticity. The restroom was kept clean too. Payment is cash only, so don't forget your wallet. I'll visit again when I'm nearby.
View on GoogleA Chinese restaurant standing alone on a quiet street. I often pass by but had never gone in, so I decided to give it a try. There was only one family dining, but a solo customer came in later too. The prices are friendly to people living alone, which may make it easy to visit regularly. I was surprised that every dish was delicious. I felt I'd found a good place. Apparently they offer set meals at night too, so ordering just a set would leave you change from 1000円. The mapo tofu tasted different from what I expected in a good way, and I found it very delicious. Since I often pass nearby, I'd like to drop in again. I quite recommend this place.
