I think it is probably the best restaurant in the neighbourhood, even though slightly pricier than most.
View on GoogleThis is my favorite restaurant. The owners are incredibly kind and the food is phenomenal.
View on GoogleVisited on Saturday, September 23, 2023 A restaurant run by a head chef from Okinawa. When you walk in, a small shisa and an ishigantō greet you. They mainly serve sake, plus imo (sweet potato) shochu, mugi (barley) shochu, and one type of awamori (Harusame), but it's a shame there's no kokuto (brown sugar) shochu on the menu. Also, many of the sakes on the menu were sold out, which was a bit disappointing; I think it would be better to put the sake menu together separately. The menu is also hard to read in terms of layout, font size, and so on. The food is delicious overall. I think they serve sake cheaply too, but if you order by the 1 gō, it ends up costing more than the price on the menu. Most dishes use seasonal ingredients and are handmade. Since the head chef cooks everything alone, dishes can sometimes come out a bit slowly. Note that cards and e-money aren't accepted—cash only. It's a popular place, so reservations are recommended; once the seats were about 2/3 full, some customers were being turned away. That day, we ordered about 4 gō of sake, 2 glasses of craft beer, an assorted sashimi platter for 2, kamameshi, and a fair amount of food, and it came to a little over 18,000 yen for the two of us. Recommended.
View on GoogleAn izakaya with a wide selection of sake. Whatever you order is carefully made and delicious. My favorite is the fried small horse mackerel with Tosa vinegar. There are lots of menu items, but they seem to change depending on what's in stock. Better to make a reservation.
View on GoogleIt's fairly far from the station, so it's a place you make a point of coming to. The fish is ample in both variety and presentation. They seem particular about vegetables—even just the potato fries (4 kinds of potatoes!) are impressive. There's a considerable number of sakes too, so nothing's lacking. To finish, there's takikomi gohan (50 minutes), but it costs about 2600 yen, so for my spouse and me eating a moderate amount, it came to about 16000.
