The one and only French restaurant in Shōtengai from Ookayama station. Despite the high price (5,200¥), the course was worth every yen spent. You better dress a little bit formal (even though the owner did not mind us wearing casual clothes). The course offers choices for the appetizer and the main course when I went there, so maybe it is better, if you are the foreigner, to take the friends who could speak and read Japanese with you. All of the food are delicious, salute to the chef. Recommended!
View on GoogleVisited for lunch. The food gave the impression of being faithful to the basics Quiche Soup Fromage de tête Salmon marinade Navarin d'agneau Nothing outstandingly delicious, but I sensed a nostalgic flavor that was faithful to the basics. It's the kind of food you eat thinking, “Ah, yes, this is it.” We ordered wine by the bottle. Perhaps the owner's wife? She provided thorough service. Though it somehow also felt a bit scary, as if things were too precise. Personally, I'd like to see some dishes with a sense of the season too. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleI had lunch at a French restaurant I'd been curious about for a long time. The 4200 yen course. Everything was delicious, but the corn soup at this time of year was sweet and very tasty.
View on GoogleFre~, Fre~, Frenchi! So anyway, for the first time in a while I had some proper French food. Royal Blue in front of the station was a bit of a letdown, so this time I had high hopes. Though maybe it's the season, but judging from various people's logs, it's the same pattern of dishes. When an acquaintance went, it was the same food too. Hmm, serving what you're good at is fine, but I'm a lil worried you might get bored if you go many times. My overall impression is that you can taste the “sweetness” each ingredient naturally has. Also, there's a proper “bite” to it. That's wonderful. The bread might be a bit different if you're imagining French bread. It's closer to the homemade bread you often eat at Italian restaurants. What dishes will come out next time? Stay tuned. Cheers, Aishuu...
View on GoogleFleur de Sel H “A hidden gem quietly tucked away at the edge of the Ōokayama North Exit shopping street by Ōokayama Station on the Tokyu Oimachi Line. The restaurant's name, fleur de sel, means salt. The dishes are simply seasoned to bring out the ingredients. You can sense a gentle balance of saltiness in them. Delicious 🍴😆✨
