Seems like an OK place, but there were just some small things perhaps that didn’t match how food businesses are expected to be managed in Japan. The food tastes OK, but there was very good quantity in each order despite the reasonable prices. Also, we felt that everything we ordered was actually made from scratch, which was good, but it also meant that it took just slightly longer to get our food, something not typical of a Chinese restaurant where you expect the food to come out fast. There were also some cooked food in big trays that were on one of the tables for customers, and we felt uncomfortable seeing those food unrefrigerated. We saw what food those were and made sure we didn’t order them. The owners were also using one of the tables like an extension of a living room with lots of personal items scattered on it. It just didn’t make for a welcoming restaurant look. Nonetheless, I do think it’s a nice place to get cheap food and drinks for a very casual situation, especially in an area where dining options are quite limited.

It feels like a laid-back, no-frills local diner run by Chinese folks. The set meals had good volume. Taste may come down to preference, but both the gyoza and the karaage come out piping hot, so watch out for burns. The freshly squeezed grapefruit sour seems to be popular.

Ordered the ramen & gyoza set. The winged gyoza filling has a lot of ground meat, but it isn't juicy. The ramen is a shoyu that seems to have a bit of back fat, a little light, with thin straight noodles. The chashu was fall-apart tender, just how I like it. The egg wasn't plain boiled but an ajitama. I think the volume is good for the price.

2025/09/28 Fried rice & gyoza set An easy set to pick The fried rice isn't oily The gyoza are the winged kind 2025/06/10 I had the yurinchi set meal It was delicious There was a notice saying boiled gyoza require a reservation, so I learned you can't just drop in and eat them Seems like a high bar, but I want to try them someday 2025/04/06 The zashiki seats? were lively with regulars The ramen was lightly flavored, with no clear direction—an ambiguous taste The gyoza were firm, didn't leak juice, and were delicious (I'm not into juicy gyoza because they instantly dilute my custom gyoza sauce of vinegar, chili oil, and soy sauce, leaving me in a "now what do I do with this" situation) Next time I want the mapo tofu rice bowl, or if they don't have it, mapo tofu with rice, plus pan-fried gyoza; and if boiled gyoza are on the menu (even off-menu), I'd like to eat those

The vegetables sold out front are definitely cheap, but when I got home and took a good look, more than half the onions were moldy. You really have to check carefully when buying.
