Coming from 大岡山駅, this Chinese restaurant is on the right side of the shopping street, toward 環七. Their specialties are steamed chicken and mapo tofu. Personally, I recommend the snack set: 3 dishes at an incredibly low price! This alone could see me through a whole drinking session. Haha Today's snack set was pickles, a seasoned boiled egg, and steamed chicken, which I nibbled on while waiting for sweet-and-sour pork fillet. The sweet-and-sour pork arrived. It had zucchini in it, and this was fantastic! Sweet-and-sour pork with fillet and zucchini. A first for me! While enjoying chuhai and sweet-and-sour pork, I added mapo tofu. It seems you can customize it, but I started with the standard version. It was somewhat spicy, and had a numbing kick too, so I switched to a Kavalan highball. (A great-value spot for Kavalan highballs!) This was pretty fantastic! Personally, I dislike places with overly strong air conditioning, so I enjoy an interior where I work up a light sweat, but the cooling is a little weak for those sensitive to heat. Still, it's a lovely, homey place with very attentive service. Do give it a try!
View on Google【Visited October 2024】 Opened in October 2022, this restaurant operates in rented space at the yakiton restaurant 「三鶴」. It normally opens at 22 after 「三鶴」 closes, and at 17 on Sundays, Mondays, and holidays when 「三鶴」 is closed. It's open until 25, making it perfect for a late meal. I came here that day partly because the restaurant I'd wanted to visit was full. You can see inside from outside, so it's easy to drop in casually. The interior has a lovely atmosphere like something from the TV drama 「深夜食堂」. There was a U-shaped counter and a few tables. I took a seat at the counter. It was around 22, but there were quite a few customers, with more arriving steadily. They seem to have a firm grasp on 大岡山's late-night demand. First things first, ・Oolong hai 480円 was my order. I wasn't hungry, but thought I'd eat something too, so I ordered ・Chinese snack assortment, 3 kinds 480円 ・Sichuan-style mapo tofu 650円. The prices make it convenient for solo drinking. I'd heard the ramen was well regarded, but wanted to try other things, so I passed this time. I think I'd have ordered it if there were a half portion. The 「Chinese snacks」 consisted of small portions of 「Chinese-style pickles」, 「seasoned boiled egg」, and 「chicken breast」. A nice selection of drinking snacks, which I appreciated, and I especially liked the 「Chinese-style pickles」. True to its name, the 「Sichuan-style mapo tofu」 had a strong sansho pepper kick. I needed another drink for this, so I added ・Kaku highball 520円. Sichuan 「mapo tofu」 and a refreshing 「highball」 really do go well together. Eating and drinking this late, including the guilty pleasure of it, made for an enjoyable time. I think it's a convenient place for a late-night meal. Thank you for the meal.
