Not too far from the station but at the end of the long row of restaurants which you can easily miss. The place isn’t big at and seats are quite tiny too, but the food is pretty good. It may not look like it but the tsukemen tasted quite unique and flavorful. I liked it but not something I will crave often. I wouldn’t mind going back at all but not anytime too soon.
View on GoogleVery delicious tsukemen with plenty of fish powder. With famous restaurants packed all around it, it's a hidden gem that a tsukemen shop this delicious isn't crowded. The tsukemen comes with ume espuma. At first I thought it might get in the way, but as I ate, I was surprised by how effectively the espuma changed the flavor. It's more vibrant and aromatic than vinegar, enhancing the flavor and umami. Definitely, definitely give it a try! The mazesoba is great value! Bonito flakes and an onsen egg are included by default too. I'm satisfied with both the flavor and the portion.
View on GoogleThis time I went to 『麺屋ちょこざい』! It was rich but had the refreshing taste of ume, making it impossible to put my chopsticks down! The oozy texture of the seasoned egg was irresistible too 🤤🥚 They even have hair ties, and it's a cozy space to relax in 😆!
View on GoogleBack at ちょこざい after a long time!(^^)! Trying the spicy tsukemen for the first time ( *´艸`) Instead of the thick noodles that are popular lately, these are delicious noodles that are easy to eat. The piquant dipping sauce stayed piping hot until the end and was so delicious~!! Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleI think this is one of the top tsukemen shops around 蒲田. A distinctive feature is that the dipping sauce is served very hot. The university student next to me couldn't hold the bowl of dipping sauce placed on the counter and was asking people around him for help. Young man, this is a trial... There are two kinds of tsukemen: a spicy niboshi-based one and a refreshing ume-lemon one, and both look delicious. This time I chose the spicy tsukemen. The chashu is moist and somewhat thick-cut. The meat has a deep umami flavor and a satisfying bite. The niboshi-flavored broth offers complex umami, keeping the tongue busy and stimulating the salivary glands. Simply delicious. The topping on the noodles that's something like “edible chili oil” is delicious too. I prefer coating the noodles with it and dipping them into the sauce rather than dissolving it in the broth. The broth for diluting the sauce isn't salty, so I think it's more enjoyable if you dilute it without making the flavor too weak. Thinking I'll try the ume-lemon tsukemen next time, I decided to return.
