Despite the language barrier, it felt very welcoming and we had a great time talking with the maids. The food was delicious and well-priced. It was a great find for something a bit more local. Would definitely come again if in the area!
View on GoogleThis maid cafe is a hidden gem in Ota City. The maids were very friendly. Most of the maids had conversation with me and did an extra mile to speak to me in english despite the language barrier. The food was great and the service was phenomenal. I highly recommend travelers to visit this maid cafe if you're staying around Ota city.
View on GoogleA long-standing maid cafe that celebrated its 14th anniversary in November 2025, located a 7-8 minute walk from JR Kamata Station and Tokyu Kamata Station. If you are looking for an old-school maid cafe where serving alcohol is not the main focus, around Ota Ward, Shinagawa Ward, Kawasaki, or Musashi-Kosugi, Charlotte is probably your only choice. You can get to Kamata Station from Akihabara Station—a fierce battlefield of maid cafes—without any transfers using the Keihin-Tohoku Line. I return home 3 to 4 times a month, and it's a down-to-earth maid cafe with reasonable pricing and customer service. The prices aren't high, and I think it's a place where you can always visit and have a worry-free good time. On weekends and holidays, there is a large number of maids, and it feels like there are usually around 7 to 8 people on duty. Depending on how busy it is on weekends and holidays, there might be a queue, but there is a ticket machine reservation system inside the shop. If there is only one group waiting, it takes about 15-20 minutes to be seated. If there are 3 groups waiting, you can probably enter in about 3 groups × about 20 minutes = about 60 minutes. Since the shop is located just past the shopping street from Kamata Station, people waiting for reservations reportedly spend their waiting time at various shops in the shopping street, cafes around Kamata Station, or Donki. If you are looking for a long-established maid cafe that has been running for over 10 years, this is a shop I can recommend.
View on GoogleA hidden-gem maid cafe where cute maids and omurice soothe your soul. Characterized by orthodox, classic maid uniforms, this isn't the type of shop that relies on skin exposure or excessive ruffles. This time I ordered omurice and beer. The maids draw art on the omurice with ketchup, and they are really good at it. While many shops just casually draw a heart or a kitty and call it a day, the maids here have solid drawing skills, which impressed me. The omurice itself features fluffy eggs and flavorful ketchup rice, offering more than enough quality for maid cafe food. And above all, the atmosphere created by the maids is wonderful. Shion-chan is just so cute. She pulls off the orthodox maid uniform very well, allowing you to fully savor the satisfaction of visiting a maid cafe. Chieri-chan is always smiling, and just looking at her smile eases the mood of the room. I liked her attitude of keeping a smile even amidst busyness. Yurika-chan has a beauty-type, glamorous vibe that makes her look like a star staff member at a regular cafe rather than a maid cafe. With three very different personalities, each one is charming. It doesn't have the flashiness or event-like feel of Akihabara maid cafes, but instead offers a calm space where you can spend time leisurely. It gives the impression of having many regular customers, but the maids initiate conversation even if it's your first time, so you won't feel uncomfortable. Combined with its location in Kamata, it's a hidden, off-the-beaten-path existence. Recommended for people tired of the hustle and bustle of Akihabara or those seeking a laid-back maid cafe atmosphere.
View on GoogleA maid cafe that unfortunately closed down in May 2024 to much regret. It reopened in a new location in August of the same year. It's a few hundred meters further from Kamata Station, but it's an easy walking distance. Since it's near Hasunuma Station, access is better for those using the Tokyu line. There is a 1-time 1-order system with time charges: 660 yen for the first hour and an additional 330 yen every 30 minutes (with discounts for women). The food quality is high overall, and the prices are reasonable, making it a viable option just to use as a regular cafe.
