Such a cute, aesthetic little café with kind staff and well-made drinks and food. We only stopped by for a short while, but we will definitely be back to try some of the delicious-looking cakes!

The quintessential coffee shop A coffee shop with a classic atmosphere right outside 馬込 subway station. Since this isn't really a business district, the customers are mainly neighborhood ladies and older gentlemen. I fit right in. Breakfast sets start at 9:30, and lunch sets at 11:30. There are cake sets in the afternoon too, and it closes at 6 in the evening. You could establish a daily rhythm even without going to the office. The toast is crisp and chewy, with just the right bite. With sugar and milk added, the coffee has just the right gentle bitterness and warmth too. Being established in 1953 isn't just for show. It's a coffee shop I hope keeps going forever.

Visited the long-established 「楡 本店」 near 馬込 Station. What surprised me this time was their cream puff! At first glance it looks like a pie cake, but when you eat it, it's fragrant, crispy choux pastry. A mouthful with plenty of cream is pure bliss…! The trio with classic fluffy shortcake and refreshingly chilled iced coffee was fantastic. If you're taking a break in 馬込, this is the place. Visited the long-established "Nire Honten" near Magome Station. I was so surprised by their cream puff! It looks like a Napoleon or pie, but once you take a bite, it's actually fragrant, crispy choux pastry. Filling your mouth with that rich cream is pure bliss...! The classic, fluffy strawberry shortcake and the chilled iced coffee made for the perfect trio. If you're looking for a place to relax in Magome, this is definitely it.

A renowned retro spot established in 1953. The caramel rum raisin cake is fragrant and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was calm, and the service was courteous too.
