Stopped in for food after visiting Tamagawa Asama shrine. Loved the cozy atmosphere, the fun 90s music playing and the delicious food. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and I had the fish and chips. Both were delicious!! The addition of rosemary and roasted garlic to the fish and chips was a delight. The owner was very friendly and spoke excellent English as well. (It’s a shame the restaurant was destroyed by Shin Godzilla. 😂)

Am happy that there is actually a place in Tokyo that has GOOD fish and chips - been hunting for good ones for so long and this one is definitely good. For starters that batter was bang on and fish was flaky. Aside from that, the place was cozy, quaint and just a lovely place. Will come back.

Meals and drinks are great! We are lucky to have lunch here without waiting in line, it’s a good place and they are so friendly.

A great cafe/bar near the Tamagawa river. Perfect place to stop by a casual walk along the riverside for some beer and burgers. Loved the chili bean burger, but the kitchen was crowded and the serving speed was a bit slow. They also have some space outside for those with dogs! This is the legendary place you’ve been looking for, it’s on the river, they serve fish and chips, yes, fish and chips, the drinks are absolutely incredible, the booze is incredible, the bar is incredible, you can see inside or outside, everything is old and wonderful and legendary and made of wood, the coffee is first class, the staff all descended from heaven, everyone hangs out here with their kids, cool people, old people, young people, otakos, everyone comes here. The Tama river is getting very near the sea now, the Tama river carries the whole spirit of Tokyo really, here is where you come to hang out with the spirit of the Tama. You just can’t beat it. Say hi to the guys for me.
