*Due to circumstances, we are currently not accepting reservations through the Hot Pepper Gourmet website (the site still shows it as possible). We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We sell "Haneda Purin", one of the "100 Selected Souvenirs of Ota (Ward)". Handmade pudding made with carefully selected eggs and dairy products. You can find a variety of expressive puddings, such as a smooth custard pudding that holds its shape firmly when scooped with a spoon yet melts away the moment it enters your mouth with a rich flavor, and a chocolate pudding full of rum aroma. Inside the shop, a renovated neighborhood bookstore that has been around since the Showa era, surrounded by over 5,000 (estimated) books…

If you like Japanese Manga this store has the biggest selection of classics and staples in japanese that I've ever seen in a cafe the selection is enormous. The coffee is amazing and the food is just great homely good food made with experience and effort. The service and staff were always so welcoming and just seemed so lively and happy. Great place to grab great food and coffee for a great price. It feels like your home you've never been too with how cozy the place feels, went back again for the atmosphere alone. Highly reccomend if you want a little quiet lunch away from the busy Tokyo metropolis

Their specialty is the custard pudding called Haneda Pudding. If you dine in, you’re required to order a drink with the pudding. If you only want the pudding, takeout is available.

Pudding caramel, or プリン (purin), is one of the most popular desserts in Japan. This Book Cafe is kind of a specialty spot for purin and other puddings. I tried the coffee jelly and pudding caramel — both were just as expected: delicious and not too sweet (like most Japanese desserts, which I love because they don’t overdo the sugar). Unfortunately, you can’t dine in unless you order a set with their coffee 😕 So we had to take ours to go. The price is a bit on the higher side, but honestly, it’s worth it for the quality.

The pudding here is fantastic. I love the milk pudding and rich custard the most as they have a very creamy texture. The regular custard has a bit of a more congealed texture however, so I could not recommend it. Admittedly the prices for a set, if eating in, is a bit on the higher side. A cup of pudding and a coffee (or other drink included in the set) is roughly 900 yen. You can also get the pudding to-go. Make sure you have cash, because it's cash only or PayPay (though I feel tourists are unlikely to have the latter).

It's a bit tricky to find it. The staff were not welcoming at first and there was an old lady who was nice and caring. The cafe has bookshelves and nice atmosphere I order a chocolate together with a coffee. The taste was good but in terms of price was expensive There's limitation to sit. After two hours you have to order again or leave. Not that crowdy and calm ace
