【The best neighborhood Chinese food, with a nostalgic feel that makes you crave it!】 “味一番,” tucked into a residential neighborhood in Kojiya, is a local Chinese restaurant with a cozy, nostalgic atmosphere that puts you at ease the moment you step inside. The “ramen and fried rice set” I had here was truly exceptional. The light soy sauce ramen, whose savory broth slowly warms you through, and the fragrant fried rice with perfectly separated grains are the ultimate combination. The endless loop of alternating between the two is irresistible. The prices are also very reasonable, and the staff's warm service is soothing. This wonderful restaurant makes it easy to understand why locals have loved it for so many years!

A Chinese restaurant with an old-school facade, 中国料理 味一番. A long-established place founded in 1964 (Showa 39). Hmm? Doesn't the building look like it's leaning a little to the right? Just to the right as you enter, there are hand towels and water, so help yourself. There are 6 counter seats and 2 tables seating 4 each. What a big menu. First, tanmen (850円 including tax). Oh, the strong pepper kick and the sweetness of the vegetables in the broth are irresistible. Along with pork, it's packed with cabbage, garlic chives, bean sprouts, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, and onions. The slightly soft, springy medium-thin noodles carry the broth well. A satisfying portion, too, and delicious. Huh— Looking at the soup, isn't the shop really tilted after all? This wasn't staged; it's just sitting normally on the table. Definitely tilted. Let's go with the small fried rice (600円 including tax). This is delicious, too. The grains are separate and fluffy, and the salt and pepper balance is perfect. Simple ingredients: kamaboko, egg, and chashu. Within that fluffy texture, the savory flavor really spreads through your mouth. Gyoza (600円 including tax). At this shop, the gyoza is a limited-edition model (haha). It's not served at lunch, only on the evening menu, and its last order alone is at 19:30. Oh, the garlic really packs a punch. Almost spicy. The thin wrappers are springy, the filling juicy, and it's delicious. Whew, I ate a lot. If you're curious, do give it a try.

The shop itself is tilted!? A neighborhood Chinese restaurant I've been curious about for ages! Today I finally passed by while the noren curtain was out and couldn't resist going in! A neighborhood Chinese restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere, run single-handedly by the owner☺️ As I looked through all the menus on the wall... 肉々チャーハン⁉️ Instantly decided! True to its name, 肉々チャーハン is packed with big chunks of roast pork, and it's incredibly delicious...🤤 And the gyoza! Full of flavor, a quintessential neighborhood Chinese dish✨ I went out of curiosity, but hit the jackpot🎯 There are so many menu items that I can't decide whether to try something different next time or have 肉々チャーハン again... By the way, gyoza is only available in the evening! Thanks for the meal🙏

A pilgrimage to a spot from 町中華で飲ろうぜ Visited with coworkers Ordered katayakisoba, 肉々チャーハン, and stir-fried wood ear mushrooms All had large portions, and we were stuffed Whenever I visit a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, I always end up ordering musuro (stir-fried wood ear mushrooms) The other day I went to nearby 朋友 Both were excellent restaurants, too close to call

A tilted Chinese restaurant / 味一番 / 糀谷 Its Tabelog rating at the time of my visit was 3.26. This shop is famous for being tilted. It's the restaurant at the very end of the shopping street near Kojiya Station. It may be hard to tell from the pictures, but it's seriously tilted. Inside there are tables and counter seats, and I sat at the latter. You feel a different weight at the counter seats. Ordered ramen and half a portion of fried rice (900円). It arrived after about 10 minutes. Time to dig in. The ramen has ginger-scented broth, medium-thick straight noodles, and thick, juicy roast pork—tastier than I expected. The fried rice has plenty of lard and simple ingredients. Some parts are incredibly salty. But delicious. The shop is tilted, but it's simply a tasty neighborhood Chinese restaurant. That's all—pardon my humble account!
